Bridal Makeup, Hair & Drape by Maaru Senthil

Maaru did my makeup, hair and saree draping for ALL my events! She was always punctual, a calming presence to be around and very professional. She was always open to feedback and the final looks all turned out exactly as I had hoped for! She truly excels at making a bride look like herself, just slightly enhanced! She also did the maid of honour (my sister) and the mother of honour's (my mother's) makeup! With so many people to cover in such a short amount of time, she really did an excellent job! Would definitely recommend her to every bride! She stayed for the entirety of my wedding day for outfit changes and was a real joy to be around. My day would not have been the same without her there! Very very grateful to have stumbled upon a talented artist like Maaru!

Maaru recently did my hair and makeup for my engagement and was absolutely brilliant!I don’t usually wear makeup and wanted a very minimal look. I had shared how being too dolled up made me feel anxious. She completely understood that and made sure my hair and makeup was exactly how I would like it to be, I loved the way I looked on the day. She communicated really well prior to the event and made sure I was taking care of my skin.Her composed and serene personality calmed my nerves down and made me feel so comfortable! I had maaru as my makeup artist for my wedding day. She did such an amazing job. I don’t get makeup done as much but I’ll be going back to her for any other major occasions that’s coming up soon.She knows exactly what she’s doing as she’s a qualified artist and uses her amazing tips and tricks to make you look amazing on your special day.I felt so beautiful and comfortable with the makeup. It wasn’t heavy at all and she doesn’t put severalLayers on. She’s super patient and works in detail. I have worked with Maaru for so many different events, whether it be Dance productions or photo shoots, and I would 100% recommend her. Maaru is such a talented artist and always knows how to work with different skin and hair types. I personally have very sensitive skin that reacts very easily, and so when I finally found an artist that knew how to work with my dry skin and make it look flawless, I just knew she was amazing! Her makeup skills are crazy and every time I look back on my pictures I always think about how amazing Maaru made me look! Thank you so much for making me look beautiful Maaru!

Maaru offered an afternoon session, so I went to her studio. She is incredibly professional, kind, and patient. We created a look together. The entire time Maaru was calm, and very methodical in her work. She shared photos of her work. Maaru is extremely talented, and it was a pleasure to be her model for the afternoon. Maaru did an absolutely incredible job doing my hair and make up for my Hindu wedding and civil ceremony for my reception on Waiheke Island. She is a consumate professional and was easy to communicate with over email and whatsapp while I was in Sydney and she was in Auckland, making time to accomodate me when I flew into Auckland on the odd weekend so we could do my make up and hair trials. She was honestly a godsend and went above beyond to make the flowers for my hair and made sure my Saree was perfect, my dress and lehenga all sitting perfectly and touched my make up in between. I had two completely different looks as i had two ceremonies on one day and Maaru was there from 4am till the end. You spend hours of your day with your HMUA and I knew I was in 100% in amazing hands and I had so many compliments on the day, all thanks to this wonderful lady. THANK YOU MAARU!!!!!

Maaru is an absolute legend. I cannot express how happy I was with the way I looked. It was so refreshing having a makeup artist understand my skin tone and making me look like myself, and listening to all my needs.
