Wine Tours by Bike, with Steve and Jo - Self-Guided Bike Hire in Marlborough

We had such a great day thanks to Jo and Steve at Wine Tours by Bike! We were picked up promptly on time and taken to their location, where there was a good selection of quality bikes to choose from. They helped us plan our day by knowing in advance who was closed that day due to private events or weddings - which was super helpful! We were also provided a map with bike tracks to take along with us. Their 'in the know' information and recommendations absolutely made our day the success it was. I couldn't recommend them more!

Had a wonderful experience at the wine tour!It started by a very welcoming Jo which was able to pick us up at a short notice and share a lot of information during the drive. The brief before heading out on the bike was very informative as well.The bikes are very well maintained and the folks at Wine Tours by Bike made everything very easy. Highly recommended!

Jo and Steve are remarkable, and the day you'll have will be one to remember. Dave was wonderful on the pick up/drop off - can you believe they do that? Jo/Steve gave wonderful directions/suggestions and a perfect map for finding our way around. Our tandem was a delight, the wineries were sublime. It's clear they love what they do, and it shows.

Steve, Jo and the team did excellent job to help their customers have a wonderful tour.On time pick up, useful information folders are provided in the van. A variety of good quality bikes to choose. Nice videos for wineries introduction in surroundings. We were a bit late to return to the place and phoned Steve, and he put our safety at first consideration. Jo drove us back and answered all our questions on the way.I highly recommend to book the tour, not only to enjoy world-class wine but also to stroll around this beautiful town.

We had the BEST day!! This is the perfect way to hit a lot of the wineries in the area. I loved how organized this was without someone else controlling your itinerary - they pick you up (!!!), walk you through the bikes, the map of the area, and a brief description of each winery, and then off you go to create your own day! We don’t love guided tours of places, we like to make it our own so this was PERFECT. Also the ride home is so critical when you’ve been drinking all day. I would love to come back and do this again. We are visiting from the US for our honeymoon and this was such a memorable experience and a lovely addition to our plans here. 10/10!!

Wow, what a fab day! The sun was shining, we got great info from Steve and co and enjoyed triying out the various vineyards. My hubby picked the UK style bike whereas I picked the sit up and beg bike with Kiwi brakes, the only suggestion I'd make is if you're doing the furthest vineyards over the unsealed tracks maybe the more geared bikes would work better as say my hubby had the advantage so I was chasing his tail but oh what a fabulous day with some gorgeous vineyard settings. My favourite was Rimapere but that may have been that it was quiet and the lovely lady took time answering our many novice questions about wine growing and we have the Rothschild Waddesdon mansion not too far from where we live in the UK and the Tring Museum which has another Rothschild link. Highly recommend doing this tour.

Cannot recommend this place highly enough! Steve and Jo are so friendly and kind - it is no wonder they have over 200 5-star reviews. It may just seem like a bike rental company but this visit was a highlight of my trip!The rental was by the hour so you just pay for what you use and they give you a great map and explanation of the vineyards. The bikes come with wine holders to carry your purchases and are very well maintained.Make sure to give their two cute dogs a stroke too!

We had a lovely day riding thanks to Jo, Steve and their team. We were picked up at our Air BNB and whisked back to the home base. They provided an informative safety presentation, equipment check and map. They let us know what wineries were open for our visit and helped us develop a plan for the day. We spent the last hour at a vineyard close to home based and enjoyed a lovely cheese plate. There were several lunch options in addition to the most popular that were tasty.Our longest ride was about 25 minutes away and we managed to enjoy a total of 5 wine tastings and a gin tasting without feeling rushed or over served . Book them, they were perfect!
