Tongariro Crossing Lodge

This place exceeded my expectations. Great person to person service and happy to provide info on the area. The rooms are in good condition and provides a high level of comfort. Location is in a great spot for enjoying most everything this place has to offer!

Brilliant location, fantastic hosts and a great room.We stayed here for 2 nights to explore the local hiking and sights in the area.The hosts were brilliant, welcoming us and helping us arrange a shuffle for the Tongariro Crossing, alongside making sandwiches for the day itself!We had a large lodge with a private kitchen, living room and bedroom as a free upgrade which was fab! We didn't use the kitchen, but the extra space was perfect for relaxing after 2 busy days hiking.

Great stay, we booked the package with the shuttle to the Alpine Crossing which was very smooth. Louis provided an excellent breakfast - would very much recommend!

We love this place. Olde world comfort, warm cosy rooms. Louis is a great host. Cooks a wonderful breakfastHighly recommended. Time to the Bruce about 25 minutes forgot to mention...really good kitchen facility.

This is our fav spot whenever we travel to Tongariro National Park. This accomodation is a boutique family-run business, and it has absolutely everything (if not more!) that you may need for a most enjoyable stay in this area. Everything here speaks of the high level of professionalism and of a genuine desire (and a lot of effort!) to make everyone's stay both really enjoyable and memorable.The sparkling clean rooms and showers, the quality towels and linen, the well equipped kitchen, the yummiest homemade breakfast, the pre-packed lunch for a hike (yes, that's on offer too should you need one). To top it up, there's a stunning courtyard outside for you to relax and to rest after a day in the mountain. The list goes on!...You'll be very well looked after, I promise - the two hosts Marina and Louis are very kind, accomodating and welcoming. I mean, really, - what else could you wish for :-).Thank you so much for having us and for such an amazing service Marina and Louis. You've made our stay both really enjoyable and fun. The manager was such a lovely lady she was so helpful. My logistical planning to finish the Tongariro alpine crossing was terrible, but she fixed everything for me and got me to and from the trail and made the entire trip so much easier! She made my day and has great accommodation, I highly recommend this lodge. 6/5 stars ! Fast wifi too!!!

The Jerusalem Room was really comfy & it was nice to have the space. Bed was really comfy & the feather/down duvet was really warm without getting over warm. We opted for the cooked breakfast & were delighted with the table setting awaiting us. The service was exceptional. We would definitely recommend to other people, and will be back again if staying at National Park.

We stayed two nights at the Tongariro Crossing Lodge and loved it! The service was outstanding and the attention to details were much appreciated. Louis cooks an excellent breakfast and the lunches they packed for our out hike were delicious. Also, being able to do our laundry (for free) was quite helpful after a long day of hiking. We stayed at a number of hotels and B&B's throughout our trip and this was by far the nicest experience we had. Thank you Louis and Marina!

The cookware left a little to be desired for the picky chef, but overall three room was nice and clean. The view was nice out of the window of gnomes playing cricket

The accommodations were absolutely perfect and in a great location. Louis was a friendly and wonderful host; he gave us helpful tips. He made arrangements for a shuttle to the Alpine Crossing. The full breakfast was excellent and beautifully served. The owners provided nutritious and tasty sandwiches for us to take on our trek…on homemade bread! They even have a laundry room for guests. We highly recommend this outstanding lodge!!!
