Legit and affordable 煮炒 food from Singapore/Malaysia. Every dish we ordered was on point. Mapo tofu, tofu with black bean sauce, yang Zhou fried noodles, prawn noodles, for prices averaging $14. The portions were generous and we were all stuffed. I’m giving 4 stars because the waiting time was long so don’t pop in when you’re starving expecting to get your food in 10 minutes - not gonna happen. It’s worth the wait and completely satisfied my craving (:

Best Chinese food in the city.I lived in Beijing for 2 years, this cousin no different from Beijing.Very simple, small place, similar to Chinese small restaurants in Beijing.If you are fancy person, do jot go there, you wont be impressed, but if you do not mind how the place looks and you want real, very good Chinese food, do not miss this place.Operated by one lady, one lady show.

Loved this place - we got the Laksa and Char Hor Fun (gravy noodles).Just like others said, can be slow since only one women works there. She is kind and takes care of her craft - also just a light reminder that she is the only one working there and just trying to make a living herself. I can imagine right now she can’t justify paying another employee given increasing costs etc. If you don’t have the patience to wait around, then you might be disappointed.

Fantastic little gem, hidden away behind the tired sign. This food is the most delicious I’ve had in Christchurch yet- and I can see why the reviews are so good. The lady cooking is a one man band- arguably more impressive than AFG who has a whole crew behind the scenes). The wait is worth it. We had the fried rice and curry laksa. Definitely coming back.

Food was so delicious and very reasonably priced! Would definitely recommend.They do only take local debit cards and cash, so if you’re from out of town make sure to bring cash!!

Small local eatery with a friendly owner/chef. Nothing fancy here just good food at affordable prices close to town. Personal favorite is the coconut butter chicken but most dishes I have tried here have been good

The food is outstanding. Best Asian food I have eaten in NZ. There is one lady who does everything, from cooking to customer service, so be prepared to wait 40-60 mins for food. Well worth the wait, looking forward to going back! 1000% reccomend

Had meals there at around 4pm, not busy, you can get easily full for $14-$15 per person, great value in the city centre
