Amazing food and amazing service! Those are the words I would use to use to sum this place up! I had a quesadilla which was great and only for $12! It filled you up! But I think that was just a 1 night thing. The Tacos were great and had fresh veges which was great. There was quick service expect for 1 item, but they apologized which was really nice. Definitely would go again. And is one of the best restaurants in taupo

Great Mexican decor and the sangria definitely went down a treat. A little disappointed with the lack of hot sauce selection and authenticity when it came to the food. I love my hot sauce and had to sneak my own in on my second visit. I guess the moral of the story is...I went back for more. It's also right next to the Base Backpackers so it's in a great location for the target audience.

Portion sizes were a little small for a “sharing platter”And service was quite bad, would recommend booking on a busy night - however not sure how it’s done since not available online.Limited seating inside.

If even I used the first table to book, I can only gave 3 stars and wish I had never been there. Don’t order anything pull pork. I never had such bad pull pork before. Tacos have better value than the other food we ordered. Disappointed! The other fake Mexican food in NZ. Is there authentic Mexican food in NZ though?

Absolutely amazing Mexican food and drinks. Having been to Mexico this food is the best Mexican food in the country. The chef is from South American so knows how to cook authentic Mexican. Prices are cheap for the size of the portions. The drinks are great too, the Margaritas are perfect. The bar manager Moon and the staff were the best. Also after about 9pm the restaurant turns into the best night club in town. 10/10.

Not bad but not great. The naked burito was nice however the dressed burito was kinda dry as all the sauces were outside the burito for some reason. The place is not hugely expensive but definitely not cheap. Burrito is like 18$. Environment outside is nice

Very mixed feelings about this place. The vibe outside has a nice backpacker / mexican style with cool decor. Inside it’s dark and very cheap looking. Food was a massive disappointment. I had 3 tacos, none of which were good. My two friends were not too happy either. In addition to that the food took a long time to come out but on the upside, the people were super nice. I wouldn’t go back there.

It's a backpacker bar with a authentic Mexican menu that's on point. We had the Tacos and they were 10/10. Go for the house made corn tortillas, they are soft and gluten free. The pulled meats where tasty and not overpowering. The taco fills was generously 85% meat, I love that!

GReat food and lovely service!!! They were crazy busy but the bartender explained this when we arrived and said there was a wait on food which we were fine with, the food came out faster than expected and was AMAZING, it was an all round lovely evening we left full and happy
