The staff was amazing and the building is very nice, but we were disappointed with the food, especially when the menu is quite short. There was a few gluten free options and we chose haloumi and a burger. Haloumi was not worth of the value - roasted cheese and boiled vegies seemed to be rather a side dish then a main. The burger toast (GF) was awful, meat was cold and the burger was overeally tasteless (nice aioli though). If it is not extraordinary food, it should not be on the (short) menu. I didnt like serving sparkling water - it should be optional and tapped water should be automatically served instead. Cocktails and desserts looked very good, but we didn't try any. People rate it very high, so we might have been just unlucky.

This place has a very confident menu, great coffee and beautiful surrounds. Perfect for travelers taking a time-out, watching the traffic go by.We found it had a good atmosphere and polite service. Worth the price, recommended!

Good place as all of the HiP group cafes. Nice it a bit expensive. Trendy Organic-green-funky food, seasonal and local vegetables. Meat from owned butchery. Amazing outside area with beanbags overlooking little river

We were in nearby Helensville and chose Provenance as a lunch stop based on some good reviews after a quick Google search.We were not disappointed. The service was flawless and the food excellent. We would certainly visit again and recommend to others.
