Great. Went to Farmers. A large Department store. And at the bottom of the strand, a very large, and tall high rise building was gone. Tga is going through changes. Cheers.

I don't know why anyone would come here for shopping. The place is impossible to get to with all the roadworks, congestion and lack of parking. Much easier to get to the alternative malls with free parking.

The best fish and chips in Tauranga. It's a long wait but worth every minute.

Even though there were lot of roadworks and building construction going on in town, it was still very nice to go through down to the waterfront by The Strand.

Downtown is dying as far as shopping goes. Further down, the foodies seemed to be out in force which is a good sign. We just parked and went for a walk over the Railway Bridge, made more exciting because a train went past when we were on the pedestrian walkway. We then got a coffee and sat beside the harbour for a picnic lunch. I think it's a great way to spend a couple of hours. Depending on your budget, you can take a picnic, buy food from a choice of eateries or have a wander then lunch at a restaurant. Food and relaxation a big tick. Shopping... go to a Mall.
