Central City Library
I always enjoy my time at the library. Coming from a developing country, the library is a breeze for me. I could find almost all books I were looking for. When it is not available, library system allows me to request by online. Library also hosts many events which me & family love. Toilets are clean & dry. One time there was a man sleeping in kids area & covered his face with a book. Then when library staff asked politely not to sleep, he went upset and insist that he wasn't sleeping (eerrr...helloo) & I heard arguments from his side which was quite disturbing. I pity the library staff, I wish I had helped her :(

An inclusive wisdom hub for all Aucklanders! An awesome place where you have the best in class books, DVDs, Online Data warehouse easily accessible! Not just that - you'll surprise that 3D Printing Service, Knitting Service, Photocopy services are also part of this Central City Library.You enter in a Quiet atmosphere, in another way you automatically put into a no-divide your attention zone..which is vital for your research, study or even if you love to read and nobody you wish to disturb you.I take a privilege to thank @AucklandCouncilLiabraries Team/Authority for their vision, creativity and simplicity too! Cheers!!

Central City Library
One of the best public libraries that I've been to. Free wifi. The place is big but there are not enough seats for everyone. I didn't mind squatting on thier carpeted floors. I just find it strange that food is allowed inside. The 1st floor is quiet noisy and there is a playing area for small children. The upper floors are the ideal place to study coz it's often quite. This is the kind of place I would want to spend my me time in.

The best library I've ever been to.Just take your passport (ID) and present address proof (Bank statement) and you get a cool library card for free. You can request books once you get it.You can always read books in the library without a membership as well.NZ standards can only be read in the library & are not available for check-out.All types of furniture for you to sit with your favorite book!!Free WiFi as well. The kid's section will make you wanna be a kid again!!!Huge collection. Absolutely my favorite place in Auckland!

Great place for readers. Run by Auckland council, the membership is free and you can borrow varieties books. Three story library has reading sections, you can also take online prints (b/w) for just 20 cents. Amazingly helpful staff. Above all, 1 GB free WiFi access. What else one can ask from a library.

Visited from Denver, CO USA. Delightfully friendly and attentive staff! Clean, welcoming, and professional building - they even have a Makerspace and a Zine library! What a great community asset :)

Nice library in town but the staff was very rude yelling and disturbing everyone within for a 500 meter radius because I had a closed to go coffee (not anywhere near books)The wifi is decent but you only get 2GB so if you have any real work to do you'll probably go over your limit.The bathrooms are cool they have a 3 in 1 sink with soap, wash a and dry.

This is the premier site for the best public library system in Australasia. An emblem of Auckland cherished by it's citizensGreat collections, catalogue and staff. Used by millions of visitors every year. 55 individual library sites in the system. Without question one of Auckland's best known public treasures. Super education programs. Tremendous outreach.Fantastic digital access.

An elitist club where if you don't fit their mold of what a proper library patron should look like they will get security to watch over you. Experienced this many times I don't think they want everyone to use the library.Poor experience.

Central City Library
Great place for early morning when kids is too bored at home and nothing else is open. The kids area has kids furniture ready for them to go up and down the chair and table. Wide ranging kids books is also located in the same area. Very well designed and presented.
