I am have been playing guitar for years when I wanted to progress further in classical guitar and found John to help me with this.He is a wonderful guitar teacher, extremely knowledgable and very patient (especially with one who has picked up habits from other ways/styles of guitar playing).He requests high standards from students, and this is done with gentle persistence and a lot of humour.John is always very accommodating with his time, diligently in contact by phone, email and text when arranging lessons to suit, and very kindly offering make-up lessons when the situation appropriated the requirement.

Hi, my name is Kevin and I am one of Johns more senior students in the over 60's age bracket, which I am sure presents its own challenges for the teacher, however his patience and unique teaching style together with his quirky sense of humour makes every lesson a pleasure. His impressive list of qualifications are deserving of respect and give students the confidence that they are receiving the best quality tuition. I can say with honesty that the past 2 years or so of tuition have been a pleasure and I feel that I am slowly realizing a goal of studying classical guitar that I have had for many years thanks to Johns teaching.

John has been a wonderful guitar teacher for the past 2 years I have been taking lessons with him. I had been playing electric guitar for about 6-7 years before taking lessons with John and was largely self taught with minimal understanding of theory. Since taking lessons with John I had learnt how to read sheet music within a couple of months and had greatly expanded upon my understanding of the instrument. I have been receiving guitar lessons from John for over 3 months now and have found him to be very good and completely professional.
