Amigo is a excellent choice if you are planning to have a dinner at Wanaka. Staffs are warm kind, the atmosphere is good. Food is absolutely recommended. We ordered AFC for sharing and Quesadilla and Chilli Colorado as mains. Probably book a table in advanced.

Amazing food as always. Flawlessly leaving you full for reasonable prices and authentic meals. Weird atmosphere with our customer service, other than that, couldn’t recommend it more.

Booked here as we felt like Mexican.We love the amigos in Dunedin but this one was a fantastic experience - busy and our drinks came so fast. Our orders were taken fast and we were checked for more drinks during our meal. My partner ordered the chicken salad and I got the fried chicken tacos - my chicken was a little overdone but still good (not a fussy eater - so I don't usually send something back unless I really can't consume it).Great spot. Only advice would be to train your waitresses to double check their customers' orders (ours got ours right but I wasn't certain he did at the time).Would come back (:

Excellent food options for anyone with difference preferences. We had loads of vegan options to choose from and I love that they had vegan sour cream and cheese to swap outTasty food, highly recommend

Great spot for some delicious Mexican food if you are looking for a different vibe than the restaurants along the waterfront!We ordered the fried chicken and baja fish taco as well as the fajitas - the fajitas were the highlight. The tacos were delicious also but in my opinion it’s slightly overpriced for what you get.We also got a couple of drinks and they were really nice!

Pleasantly surprised — as a Californian who’s picky about my tacos, and with a slew of dietary restrictions, I hadn’t expected much. It turned out there were heaps of allergen-free, plant-based, delicious options! The jackfruit and sweet potato tacos were my favourites. And on taco Tuesday, great value.

Great vegan options here! We had starters, mains and some cocktails and they were all delicious. Staff are very knowledgable about the vegan options and the guy who was serving us was really passionate and friendly. The biggest shame of this place is that we don't have time to go back.

Tacos here were good and decently priced but the big mixed grill dish we got was very disappointing. Badly cooked unidentifiable meats slapped together. Would avoid that dish and only order the tacos here.
