Food was below average, very disappointed. I had the market fish of the day, it was under cooked, I had to send it back. The salad was very underwhelming. Service was good, but I won't be going back.

We arrived at Astro lounge as a party of 6 but were told we had booked a table in Cooknwithgas. We sat down at 6pm and waited and waited for the waiter to take our order. About 10 minutes after taking our order he came back to tell us there was only one pasta left but we could have a different one. Clearly the chefs do not communicate with the floor staff before service starts. It was 7.15 before we got our meals. The food was tasty but expensive and I realize the pasta was a starter but for $20 it was very small. I won't be dining here again but would go in the garden for drinks.

We had the venison and pork belly.The venison had unusual pairing with beetroot, cauliflower and kumara while the pork belly dish was quite good with accompanying crackling and a bed of potato mash. The prices are $$$ and the food could do with a bit more flavour

Went to an early reservation on a Saturday night. Everything was off to a great start, but as business started to pick up, it became evident that they were well under staffed. The entrees were good- mussels and prawns. We both got the pork belly as a main which was beautifully presented but unexceptional and wouldn't recommend or order again. After dinner we ordered drinks- a wine and an Old Fashioned. The Classic" Old Fashioned was not as one would expect or as described in the menu. When I questioned whether I got the correct drink or not

Love this place! Really cool vibe and a great bartender - think I remember him from the Darkroom. He is definitely a keeper!Loved the hottties and blankets that are provided makes it all comfortable and enjoyable on these late autumn nights.This place is a real hidden gem 100% recommend.

An amazing and interesting restaurant and bar in the CBD by the Arts Centre. Good service and friendly staff. There lack of interest in acknowledging a large number of quick hits for a featured image was somewhat surprising. Do note is not at all cheap to buy drinks as a large glass of beer and house hardonnay cost $24.50.Nonethe less I recommend heading around the back to the outdoor seating area. Bar meals are available and the wedges with sour cream and sweet chilli sauce was very nice.

(3.5 star) Waitress was very attending and polite. Always refilling our glasses and asking if we wanted anything. Great customer service!There was a long wait for a quiet-ish night. Our mains took about 50 minutes to arrive after finishing our starters. Presentation was great but unfortunately that was really it. It was a bit overrated for a 'multi award winning' spot. Not the best value for money but overall a good spot for a 'one off' try. Again great service from the wait staff.
