Raurimu Spiral Lookout
The only spiral I experienced was the downward spiral into a pit of despair that we had stopped here.Redeeming feature was the dog from the house next to the look out who hung out for pats.

Raurimu Spiral Lookout
Once a great spot to see the trains come through, but with the growth of the bushes along the track it is harder to see the great engineering of yesteryear. Thank goodness the quirky model is there as it clearly shows this magnificent feat and helps to work out where the line runs.

Raurimu Spiral Lookout
Good model showing the spiral but you can't see the actual spiral from the look out due to a lot of overgrown bush. However it's a great view over the small village.

Not much to see. Can't see the actual track on the hillside and the model was nothing to look at. Track up to the platform was well built with rail iron framing the path.
