Karamea Beach
We stopped by Karamea Beach to walk the dogs around the peninsula and back along the inlet. The walk is beautiful. On the one side you have the wild west coast surf and as you round the end of the beach you are treated to beautiful vistas of the mountains beyond the river mouth and inlet. It's a great spot for a walk. We didn't rush and it took about an hour and a half. Thankfully the weather stayed clear today which gave us the added beauty of dramatic skies over the water views. Well worth a stop but be warned that the beach can be dangerous for swimming.

So pristine, remote and stellar views! Rough though, the usual wild west sea, this white sand expansive beach is one of the most serene beaches I've ever visited - a paradise of its own!
