Absolutely the worst company ever. Visited New Lynn Mall branch to pick up some money. The Indian guy who works there, covered the amount and asked me to sign a paperwork (with the wrong amount), threatened me, harassed me and shouted at me!If you are a female NEVER GO THERE

I had a frustrating experience this morning at No.1 Currency when I went to send money. Unfortunately, the transaction had to be cancelled because the EFTPOS machine on the right counter was not working. I tried multiple times, but encountered the same problem each time. I approached an employee of Indian descent who was working on the morning of May 30, 2023, and suggested using the EFTPOS machine on the left counter instead. However, he informed me that it was closed and couldn't assist me. This confused me because other customers' service representatives had processed my transactions at the closed left counter before. It's disappointing that the employee couldn't resolve the issue, and instead, he made an excuse by suggesting that my ANZ card was at fault, are you serious?! I found this hard to believe. He even suggested that I withdraw $1,400 so he could assist me, but I explained that I didn't have enough time as I still needed to go to work. When I went to ANZ to withdraw some money, I encountered another obstacle as it wouldn't allow me to withdraw the amount due to the existing withdrawal limit. The poor customer service and these challenges have been frustrating. No.1 Currency should prioritize repairing or replacing their broken EFTPOS machine and strive to provide a more pleasant experience for their customers.

I would like to share my first ever experience with No 1 Currency at your New Lynn Mall branch yesterday 14 December 2021at around 4.15pm to sent remittance to INDIA. I had to sent two remittances to my Sister and Brother as Christmas gift and they have accounts with two different banks. I am an ex-banker having my a/c with ASB Bank and Bank of Baroda and was sending remittances from these banks but for the first time I took your services. I was served by two different Operators. ID# 956 & 944 both have provided excellent services, very polite, explained the process, repeating the remittances details, Very professional but courteous. To-day I personally see them and shared by thoughts and experience and also thought to share on this platform. The thing which shocked me that whenever I had sent remittances from ASB Bank it will go in to beneficiaries a/c next day, from Bank of Baroda it will take 4 to 8 hours but to my surprise using No 1 Currency (Western Money Transfer) it went in my Sister's and Brother's a/c in five minutes. I have assured both of your staff that now onwards I will send remittances through No 1 Currency.

I had the most frustrating experience here earlier when picking up a money transfer. The person at the counter was very, VERY specific on what information should appear on the transfer and my ID and while I appreciate the security, its not worth spending 20 to 30mins in line then getting sent away at the end.A word of advise to please seriously consider a direct online bank transfer instead if possible and save yourself the hassle and potential frustration.

I recently sent money from the new lynn branch, i have send twice now and both time my experience was horrible with the staff here. At first i did not know which documents were required to send the money which is fine as they advise me what to get like address proof, ID and all...but the second time i went prepared with all the documents and still had a bad experience with the staff who gave me attitude and kept asking why i need to send the money despite giving her reasons 2 to 3 times. They need to be trained more i feel in customer service. And their speaker systems are horrible as i could not hear their voice clearly either. But the good thing was my money reached to my family on time so thank you!

Competitive exchange rate, appreciate that. Unprofessional and poor customer service compounded by unclear speaker system at New Lynn branch. Nil positivity. Could have made it easier as you aren't giving away something from your part rather doing a business for mutual benefit.Thanks
