Amazing! We accidentally stumbled across it, walked in not expecting it to be so quaint and lovely, were very pleasantly surprised by the great service and professional, good quality coffee! Definitely recommend, 10/10

Stayed the night in Lumsden and googled eateries for breakfast for another fine October day in Te Waiponamu and Route 6 Cafe and Bar popped up. Beaut atmosphere and awesume themed Cafe and Bar. Lumsden as Lumsden gets". We orderd good ole Eggs Benne and eggs with mushrooms. The homemade hash brown are devine."

We stopped here on the way from Queenstown to Invercargil. It was so good we had to stop on the way back too! The burgers are the best I've had and the waffles with chicken and bacon were AMAZING. The staff are amazing, attentive and happy to see you. It's a nice chill vibe. I'll definitely be back!

Stopped overnight at the FC spot at the Railway Station and popped over to this wonderful Cafe for brunch. Absolutely awesome staff and place set up like an American diner. The food is delicious they have a menu and a full cabinet of very tempting savoury and sweet treats. My almond chai was the best I’ve had in the South. We enjoyed our chicken and bacon waffles and the staff were so welcoming. A fabulous place Lumsden. Also a few craft items and purchased a beautifully crafted merino head warmer. Sooo soft. Thank you heaps.

Had the seafood basket, eggs benedict and children's pancakes. Wow!! Exceptional. Was not expecting such a quality meal. Potato rosti were the best I have had. Coffee was fantastic too.

Made an unplanned stop here and did not regret!We all ordered 3 burgers and a wrap and the portion sizes were well above expectations.The beef burger was juicy with the burger sauce amazing. The Chicken burgers were also juicy and cooked to perfection, plus the gluten free bun tasted almost identical to the standard bun.Their hot drinks were also great. If we were to pass through Lumsden again, this would be a definite stop!!

Awesome awesome awesome!Always friendly, always great coffee and always great food.And very handy with the post office as well.The staff who work here are the best I've ever experienced in the South Island.

Route 6 Cafe and Bar
I visit every year a few times in Jan/ Feb and have reviewed before. Fridays is now the only evening sitting but remains great. We also had a lunch one day and have to say that the eggs Benedict was perfect 10/10. So good we had for dinner one evening too!!

Very cool diner style cafe. Love the car in the middle of the seats! Nice coffee. Stopped here while on an Intercity trip.
