Fortune Restaurant

The worst and I mean the WORST Food I've ever eaten. Sate chicken was flavourless despite pineapple pieces , vegesand canned capsicum . Let's just say the staff of our this so called restraunt , being of Malaysian background I believe would rather eat vomit than the muck they serve up. Oh did I also say the spring rolls were still frozen in the middle!!!! AVOID

We like to try different restaurants when on holiday. We tried Fortune Restaurant at Rotoura New Zealand. The decor was mediocre. The food was good. Being vegetarian we had limited options here. The staff was good. Overall experience was ok.

Food was terrible, the stirfy chicken and cashews was actually boiled chicken and what looked like frozen vegetables, absolutely no flavor just soggy meat and veggies yuk!!!Same with the beef chowmein...no flavor!!!

Fish not fresh, included intestines when served. wine had a tiny fly floating on top however and, when confronted, appeared to not worried at all but merely gasped, What's the big deal.. I'll just pour you another one. So what?" Disinterested waitress and disinterested shop owner. Mediocre interior."

This place has a few bad reviews. We ordered the 4 person banquet and all thought the food was pretty good. The place is a little tired inside bit overall hood value for money.

Literally first time I've ever complained at a restaurant in my life. Food Arrived within 2minutes of me sitting down and the woman is visibly upset by me saying it's clearly microwaved, genuinely felt it hard to keep the sick down trying to eat the half raw, microwaved, frozen chicken and veg. Another couple came in the restaurant as I was asking if it was microwaved and immediately left, which she got extremely angry about and I apologised about losing her other business multiple times. I was the only person in a 20 table restaurant when I arrived. She went on to explain that this is how it's made in China and if you go to Auckland you will have worse, despite me having just came from 3 months in Auckland. First time I've ever complained at a restaurant in my life and rightfully so, genuinely don't know where the people who rated this 5stars went.

This place looks and feels a little dodgy. But the food is great, the grumpy old lady in charge is entertaining. And the prices are fair.I guess it is a little less sparkly" than Eat St venues

Places is dirty. Black mould, sandflies and cobwebs on inside on windows. Question owner how often they clean she said every day. Advised her of the above she said that her employees haven't been coming in and it's just her. Steak curry was chewy, didn't finish it. Wouldn't recommend

Oh my god that has to be the worst Chinese restaurant in the world! Waited for ages then food was completely tasteless and bland. Complained only paid for our entree’s and drinks. I’m not one to ever complain about food but this was shocking!
