Amazing white sand beach. great for swimming , walking on the beach and perfect when the swell is big surf is up. Its also a great spot for fishing , excellent boat ramp or cast from the rocks. Also a sanctuary for the native birds with a pest fee enclosure. And if the beach or boating is not your thing there is a great golf course with amazing views

Nice to find beach’s like this still exist in Auckland. Only thing I didn’t like was too much shells but that’s not something I can complain about lol. Has a decent amount of parking spots & I went on a pretty busy day (Saturday). Has public toilets & a couple shops. Overall nice family spot to chill & take a refreshing dip.

Lots of white sand and crystal clear water. Facilities are good and there is even a cafe and a playground for the kids

A beautiful, long, wide beach with soft, white sand and plenty of space to relax.Some of the softest sand on this side of the North Island!A perfect place for a “beach day” with family or friends. It’s one of our favorite North Island beaches!A great beach for sunning, relaxing, long walks, and swimming. It seems to be popular with surfers and kite boarders, too.For some reason, the water temperature here seems slightly warmer than other beaches around Auckland, and that makes it really great for those who enjoy getting into the water.There is a small shopping center with a convenience store and a cafe next to the beach (the cafe is only open until 2 or 3 PM, but the convenience store stays open late for snacks and drinks, including wine and beer). There are public toilets, changing rooms, and an outdoor shower available.There is also a small public park with a playground and picnic tables adjacent to the beach entrance, and plenty of free parking.Definitely worth the drive out to see this beach and enjoy it for a day!

Not a windy day. The sea was very calm. Love this Omaha beach. White sand and very clear and clean water. Had a lot of fun. Water was warm and managed to enjoy swimming and water boarding. A good day to travel away from Auckland and very relaxing day. Got good shady area for picnic. Also has a bbq area to use.

Hands down my favorite beach.There is a picnic area with a BBQ station and picnic tables around. A bathroom with outside shower to wash of the I wanted sand. A dairy and a cafe in the carpark and a playground for the little kiddies.

The lesser known surfing beach compares to Orewa. However, the view is stunning and the waves are so tempting. Highly recommended white sand beach in Auckland.

One of the best features that I have been two and very long time. The sand is perfect and feels amazing. Beach is a good length to walk down. Doggo friendly too. Good size waves for the kids our children are 8-13 and they were ok with the size. Little playground just before you walk to the beach. Loads of car parking also
