The westerly wind most common wind blows straight into this boat ramp, watch out.A good place to launch if you wish to fish the Eastern and Northern Hinehpu side of the lake in an easterly or southeast or northerly wind is best.Boat parking average on the grass by the lake.If the wind is a strong westerly best the launch at Gisborne Point or the other end of the lake called Otaramarae.Clean any weed off your trailer as we don't want weed transfer from Lake to lake.Enjoy and respect our beautiful lakes and take all your rubbish with you, please.
