No1 Currency

The name of the business is No 1 currency exchange, yet they refused to exchange my Qatar rials. They said no one is buying them, I get it due to covid I can imagine no one is buying any currency. But if you’re open isn’t that your job to EXCHANGE CURRENCY!!!If you’re not prepared to exchange currency then what are you doing open? All other currency exchange places are closed and this is the only one open, yet they’re not prepared to exchange currency.Very disappointed. Feels like you’re advertising something that you’re not prepared to do. Maybe having a sign with the currency your prepared to exchange would be helpful, or something on your website. You definitely need to be more transparent or close your doors! Not impressed

Hopeless! I placed an online order, received the text and email advising that the order was ready to pick up but when I got there they said they had only JPY in 10,000 notes and couldn't fulfil the 13,000 order, but they still wanted me to take the 10,000!What is wrong with these people? Don't they understand that when you order something and they tell you that your order is ready to collect, that is exactly what you want to do, not waste time going there to be told that they don't actually have what you ordered!

Staff refused to buy american currency from me because it had a tiny piece of tape on it, which would have ripped the bill if removed. i waited in line like 45 minutes to find this out. the bank across the mall bought it immediately with no problems. You have lost a customer.

After reading the negative reviews I was very dubious however my experience with them today was nothing but pleasant and professional. I had called in advance to ensure the foreign currency I wanted was in stock and the call centre directed me to this Glenfield branch. Apart from being very hard to find in the mall (I eventually had to ask someone) they were super friendly, polite, easy to understand and professional. I would use them again and recommend them to anyone.

I went to send money to Australia, and the lady at the counter wanted a proof that the person I am sending money to is my friend, which I thought was the weirdest thing to ask. I understand asking for ID and other details which I was willing to provide however, proof of friendship? Really?!I guess commonsense is something you can't train people to have.I will raise a proper complaint with the management with the name of the employee, hope an action will be taken.

Very poor customer service.Disregarding the incredibly sluggish turnover with only 1 till open (when there where 2 employees working).There is no regard to the customers time. I was requested to come after a 5-10 (after waiting 30 minutes) as their other outlets/correspondents where unable to respond within my slot. When i did come back i had to wait a further 30 minutes to which I had to interact with another employee whom was unaware of the request.With a turnover of 15-20 min for each customer being back of the line could easily take you 1hr plus.I personally believe if this company wants to thrive they need to really focus on customer equity. Yes there will be sessions where many customers will gather in higher saturation but facilitating the customers experience and reducing the pain points.

Online order OZ$, got text to collect next day, I got cash as I ordered in 2 days. Easy and fast. Will use again when I need.

This used to be good 4-5 years ago, but it seems to have gone completely downhill recently. The only reason these guys are still in business is because there seems to be no competition, especially since ASB have stopped exchanging currency. It's bad end to end from front office to back-office. Poor communication, staff that can barely speak English and don't seem to understand their own process, long waiting times. The main office phone line doesn't get answered either, there isn't even a phone queue. Really really poor.

The business hours should be clearly stated.Customers are expected to be served till close off time and not being told 20 minutes before that they will not be served even though they are in the cue way before time.I had a urgent money transfer to be done today but wasn't able to do so.i went there at 3.40 and one if the cashier came out and told me that they will not be able to serve us since they have closed.The closing time for this service is 4pm. No 1 service should be more efficient and the cashiers are rude. Will not recommend anyone to go at Glenfield no 1 currency.
