As soon as Richard pulled up in his van he was professional, well presented and courteous. His van was immaculate and tidy which is always a good sign. I have used lots of trades people for various services over the years and Richard is a stand out - definitely one of the best. He was on time, work was done to an excellent standard with no issues or fuss and the quote was bang on and very reasonable. Richard clearly has a passion for what he does, knows what he is doing so you get the job done right first time with no hassles. Add his attitude toward providing good old fashioned Kiwi service and it's just a winning combo. So I contacted Waitakere Plumbing via website on weekend. Richard contacted me early Monday to let me know he couldn't fit me in until Tuesday. I went with another plumber as the hot water cylinder was leaking so thought I better get it sorted. Turns out I needed a new hot water cylinder and floor repair. Plumber I used couldn't give me any prices of cost of replacement etc or if floor repair was possible at same time of replacement. Said he would send me prices...nothing received that day. Next day Richard from Waitakere plumbing texts me early morning to see if I got someone to fix my cylinder issue. Told him what the outcome was and I was looking at my options.. to my surprise he texted me prices of different cylinder replacements and could possibly fix floor but might be a big area damaged so might be best to get professional to have a look at it. This totally gave me a guideline of what I needed to know in terms of costings etc...something I wanted to know yesterday! Thank you Richard for your helpful information and even though I didn't use your services...I intend to from now on. I always read as many reviews as possible when looking for trades people etc as this is what helps me decide who to call first. Anyone looking for a plumber that knows his stuff...genuinely wants to help you...don't call anyone else. These reviews about Richard and Waitakere plumbing are the real deal.
