Well worth the walk...beautiful scenery and the hushwalk was full of Tui, Bellbirds and Kereru.

Bell Rock
A great short walk (almost 2hrs return) in the outskirt of Napier. The view was so spectacular despite some steep areas, But so worth it!!! It took us more than an hour from Napier to get to the start of the walk (roads are rugged after the main highway) bring a wind breaker!

Awesome hike. 3 hours return. Moderate ability as some hill climbs. Track in good condition and clearly marked. Bird life, bush, rock formations & views are outstanding! Well worth the drive out there. Not suitable on a very windy day as quite exposed when you get to Bell Rock.

Awesome hiking track up to some spectacular sandstone and limestone rock formations one of which is known as Bell Rock. The lower section of the track makes it's way through a patch of native bush from the trailhead on Pohokura road up to the ridge where the track comes out into open grass land and follows the ridge up to Bell Rock. Here you can explore the amazing rock formations and enjoy the stunning views.

Worth the driving, breathtaking views! Takes 3 - 4 hours to do the loop, make sure you navigate to the Bell Rock Parking Spot on Google Maps if coming from Napier, not straight to the Bell Rock (you will be lost)! Best if you do the loop, completely different view on your way back. Moderate fitness required, can be extremely windy and cold! Enjoy!

Fantastic views!Need to drive pass the boundary stream base and you will find the Bell rock track sign on your left. Park your car along the road.

Good hike, amazing view on top. Moderate level. Pretty exposed towards the end of the track. Stay on the designated track or you might fall into one of those holes covered in grass.
