Many thanks to Porangahau for providing this wonderful freedom camping spot. Very impressed. New Toilets & even a drinking fountain with a dog water dish. Very clever. Lovely sea views & a minute away from beach.

I enjoyed the location and the close walk to swim on a beautiful stretch of coast.After my girls having experienced the rough currents further up the Hawke's bay coast line. They absolutely loved this spot.☺️

Perfect camping spot. Flushing toilets, running water, toilet paper, drinking water - all supplied. The camping spots are not very flat but so close to the beach. Remote and yet good cell phone coverage.

Ok so this beach is the best kept secret. You have this beautiful beach that goes for miles and there are only a hand full of people in either direction. You have as much space as you want and the water and waves are just amazing. Bring the kids boards and have at it. Also the locals are one of the most welcoming and friendliness people I have met. So what are you waiting for if the beach is your thing then this is one for you.

Stayed last night as it was still accessible unlike pourerere campsite. Beautiful warm beach, slight undertow sideways down beach when swimming. Good facilities. Flushing toilets with light at night. Drinking fountain with tap to fill bottles from town supply
