Attended Post Modern Jukebox & Sol3mo in past week. Amazing. Only downside was feeling like a sardine as not much room between seats

There are three reasons to go to a show at the Napier Municipal Theatre1 - the show2- the bar that they open just before the show and3 - the 1930's architecture and interior decoration of the theatre itself.If you are a fan of the Art Deco decor style but can't stay long enough to attend a show ask the lovely people in the ticket booking office if you can go through and have a look (they can only let you in the theatre area if there are no shows or rehearsals in progress)

NZ Highwaymen great show. Talented guys in their 70s and 80s who still are able to entertain the crowd. Gray Bartlett awesome guitar skills. Thoroughly enjoyed the show. Thanks for coming to Napier.

Went for a conference & was pleased to see they have increased the theatre lighting, making it easier to take notes. Comfortable seating and temperature.

The Theatre was closed for the couple of days I was in Napier, and I resigned myself to not getting inside.A lone staff member took pity on the Ozzie trying to see through the dark entrance.A quick chat, and he gave me a tour of the amazing interior, even turning on the Light system.It's a truly amazing space, and combination of the Art Deco interior with world class lighting is truly amazing, and a credit to the City of Napier.

Such a great venue for dance recitals, ballet performances & classical music. The seats in the circle are not made for long legs though! The gorgeous architecture takes away the focus from that though...

Love the not so small intimate theatre. Saw the best ballet ever. Dancers from the Ukraine gave their all.
