Lake Pearson (Moana Rua) Campsite
Beautiful and peaceful lake just on the side of a national highway. I would recommend stopping by here if you are driving through the Great Alpine Highway just to replenish your energy. One could sit the entire day just watching the surface of the lake reflecting the surrounding mountain. Some ducks are around calling this place a home. This is also a good camping site, which costs $10 for an adult and $5 for a child a night. See pictures for details.

Quiet wee lake and camping area. Plenty of birds to watch. Surrounded by magnificent peaks. Sandflies were annoying.

Lake Pearson (Moana Rua) Campsite
We camped here before with my mates. It is a nice quiet camping area beside the lake. It is also close to the state highway. You can walk on around the lake. People stop and go but not disturbing. It got a long drop toilet. It is also not free, it got an honesty box where you can pay. You beed to display your proof of payment on your window and it ahould be visible for the park ranger to check it in the morning otherwise he will knock on your door and be annoying.

Beautiful place to stop by for some quality relaxation, have some food and use toilet.The lake is so huge and beautiful you might want to stay for more.There are so many ducks playing around here and the wind is so cold here.

Stunning camp spot with amazing views. Lots of space, toilets clean, water to fill up tanks (not drinking) but one of the best places I have camped. Get there early and park under the willow trees.
