A very nice hike with moderate climbs and a few steep sections.Walk to the top and back should take around 2-3 hours, bring sturdy shoes and snacks!The track to the lake was closed when we visited

Enjoyable walk, very challenging ride. I would only ride the designated MTB tracks if I was feeling like a daredevil. The view at the top is stunning in all directions on a good day.

One of the best views in NZ. Lovely crater lake in the summit track. The track is easy-moderate and takes not longer than 90 minutes one way.

Beautiful view from the Summit of the Rainbow Mountain. An easy to moderate hike to the Summit but a good footwear is recommended specially after a few days of wet weather as some part of the hills can be slippery.

A must climb in the Bay of Plenty area! Not that technical but can be a bit of a challenge because of its narrow paths and steep hills. But can be a breeze if youre fairly fit.
