Great Lookout in Mahia! You can see a 360 view of Mahia once you’re up. The best part in the trek I found was, there a few steep shortcuts which makes you climb faster, but be careful, do not use the shortcuts when coming downhill.

Quite a tough walk. We are in early 70s n fit and made it ok. Great views and perfect place to view rocket launches from site on peninsula

Amazing views around the peninsular and Hawke Bay. Recommend getting up there to view a sunrise or sunset. Great for a fitness challenge regardless of your fitness level. Recently (and currently) undergoing improvements to steps and track.

A fairly steep but short walk to the top. Great views, gives you a fantastic look over the township and a glimpse towards Mahia peninsula. Wouldn't mind a bench or table at the top to stay longer.

Nice hike of around 15/20 min to the top, beautiful 360 views.

Because I'm unfit I could only go about 3/4 way up but still managed to see beautiful scenery. A lot of steps which can make the climb challenging.

It’s a nice view at the top after a short climb. The track zig zags up so not a steep direct climb. The day we went was very gusty! There is a car park at the bottom - space for a few cars. Recommend this walk.
