Whilst actively seeking a rental property for myself and children Georgina was supportive and offered guidance and support, Georgina kept in touch through applications and kept me well informed whilst offering alternative properties that would suit my needs to keep my options open, I managed to secure a property that suits my budget and will accommodate my family well, a property manager that can communicate effectively and honestly is key and Georgina ticks all these boxes

My partner and I had been keen to make the move to Nelson and had our eye on a particular apartment block. We'd spoken to Georgina as we knew The Rent Shop looked after some of the apartments there and she kept us in mind when one became available...many months later! We very much appreciated that she had remembered us after all that time.Being from out of town, she quickly organised a virtual viewing for us and was easy going and thorough on our tour and gave us all the information we needed to feel comfortable to make the decision to move.From there she sorted out the necessary paperwork and has made the process easy for us as we look to make the move down to Nelson.We feel she will be an ideal property manager for us, with her clear communication and easy going and personable nature.

Don't leave your house with this company.......Before we moved overseas, we have decided to have a property manager to look after our house. Inside the house was newly renovated but they said we must follow the Healthy Home regulations so we did pay for the long list of the things that they wanted in the house ended up with 9 pages of receipt. Long story short...we been having tenants for 4 months. The tenants paid the rent but we have NEVER seen a cent comes from this house except receipts and debt. We have to carry two houses, this house and the overseas one. They are very difficult to be reached. Your email would be responded after two weeks or not at all. Your calls would never be answered or rang back. They never contacted you unless they wanted to send you receipts. Their contractors are so overpriced even a small job. Some of the jobs was not done but they charged you anyway. Some jobs were not necessary for the house but they did anyway. For example, the guy went to do floor polishing for the space of 2 x3 meters. He went and found that the polish that we provided was not the right one. He charged us $25 for petrol, $100 for his labor to have a look at the thing. One of the electric cook top was not working, they sent their electricien to replace it cost $1,500 and today they still wanted to replace the whole thing... this is just an example....they did not inform you, they just went ahead and did their things then you would get an email of all the receipts. Untill today...we have been trying to contact the manager. We never get any response....l actually don't like to leave comment on internet but this time l must do so our concern can be acknowledged and someone from this company get back to us. We regret that we rather leave the house empty...to be honest.

I love being with Rent Shop. I have Ella as my property manager, she’s so consistent with her communication and always puts my feelings first! Super satisfied with her service. I’ve just moved out of a Rent Shop property where Ella was my property manager and am currently moving into a new property with her continuing to be my property manager.. Wouldn’t want anyone else!
