Sea Genie Fishing Charters

The House of Travel Boyz Fishing Day was great, thanks to skipper, Eugene and his son, Scott. It was a pleasure dealing with Vicki making the booking etc. Because weather was rough we nestled in behind Rangitoto. Caught lots of little snapper but the boys all took home a feed of fish. Got a nice surprise with this kingi also! Ended up in the middle of a yacht race, which was a bonus. Thanks again, Eugene, Scott and Vicki. Fabulous day on the water!!!! Cheers Paul Otway

I have been on this charter twice now, once on my stag do, again on a work trip. Hands down best fishing charter around. Eugene and Scott are simply an awesome team who are friendly and accomodating. They get involved helping everyone on board and truly make the experience memorable. Caught plenty of fish both times, but it’s Eugene and Scott who make the experience. 10/10 Highly recommend.

No a very good experience at all Paid $1900 plus paid extra $60 for bait and rod for additional 4 staff being a company sponsored trip , and interestingly skipper gets to keep his catch ?? Is that fair ??? And even not a variety of bait on board ! Ran out of squid !!! Not using this boat anymore . Total cost $2,140.00 ! Not worth !!!

A picture is worth a thousand words, so I'll just add that the skipper was very friendly and accommodating - yet strict enough to keep us from finishing all our beer - as well as knowledgeable about where and how to fish. Fair pricing, awesome BBQ, and many fish caught. Your results may vary, but as long as you go out with a good attitude, you'll come home happy and possibly with some awesome photos and fish.

Hi Eugene, ScottThank you for the excellent day and the effort you had put into our Social club trip. We got a nice haul and are thankful we scored some fish for dinner. I clearly don't know what all these other sulk reviewers are talking about . Its like they board your boat assuming you can guarantee fish . This is simply not the case, No one can!!! no matter how long you've been out there or how much experience you have , anyone with a boat will know this !! If the fish are there, they will be, if not we move to the next spot!!! and this is what you did and it produced results!!! We took away an experience, lessons, and a really fun time on the water .. and to top it of a good days fishing in our back yard! and also a few of your spots :) We rate you as highly recommended.. And your boy!!! absolutely phenomenal.. I watched him race from one side of the boat to lend a hand to the other to help untangle a few lines.... On behalf of Beca New Zealand Limited Social Club... This is the worst fishing charter imaginable. $1200 to sit in the shipping lane. 3 fish between 10 anglers for 6 hours. No burley. Claims to write the spot x book but doesnt use the spots. DO NOT HIRE - shocking charter, 10 very unhappy fishermen.

Best fishing charter I've ever been on it was an absolute blast there was 10 of us and we caught 32 snapper it was more then we could eat! The skipper cooks an awesome BBQ and it's super friendly and helpful Sea Genie is the new goto charter!

Went out 2 weeks ago paid a little over 2.4k for 12 people Skipper was as other reviews Mention Arrogant and did not care for our 1st timers to fishing, Bait was only Pilchard and if paying $30 per person for Bait and Tackle youd expect a little variety. If you are planning to use this charter id suggest having a little Knowledge of fishing and bring your own bait. Average Rating as we were catching fish but after Skipper cooked and ate our Bbq($40 hire fee) that we supplied he decided to go sit inside and play on his phone so last 2 Hours of fishing were rubbish didn't catch anything and was unwilling to go to another spot.

Great experience, caught about 25+ snappers over 4 hours and had a kingfish at the side of the boat but unfortunately got away. Eugen was very helpful and even offered to cook the bacon and eggs that we bought.

We had a fantastic Charter with Eugene yesterday 18/03/23 plenty of fish caught. Thank you.
