Astoundingly beautiful spot. Crisp and cool so not appealing for a swim. The water was clear as clear and the setting is gorgeous.

Spectacular scenery and vivid blue water at this world class rowing venue. 10 lane 2km course, lined with spots for spectators. Boat ramp access for water sports when there isn't a rowing regatta on.

Love it here, great for walks and this time we drove out to the other side of the lake which had some beautiful views too. Best time is autumn to see the wonderful autumnal views.

Love lake Ruataniwha! Great fishing and wonderful views. Awesome spot for a wonder at sunset or sunrise for a wee Photography excursion. Also fantastic for practising night time photography without all the pressure of being over crowd like further north of Twizel can be.

Amazing place. You can do various activities here. Walking, Cycling, Sight Viewing, many sport activities. This place is best for summer but you won’t regret coming in winter as well.
