Tui Lodge Motel

Booked in months prior to our stay, to be contacted a few weeks before our stay telling us they had lost our booking and therefore double booked and that we needed to find somewhere else to stay.

OK at 95 dollars for the room it's okCould do with some mantinance and cleaning in certain areas.The beds although comfortable are way too soft. Also could do with new linen.The door on my room sticks.Gardening not done. But it is pet friendly.I don't think I'd stay here again..

Not to bad nice and close to riccarton mall and wharehouse right across the road. Mad butcher and couplands a 5 mins walk as well.

No smoke alarms, extremely dated decor late 70s/80s, heaps of mold in the toilet and bathroom, generally dirty room, incredibly dusty. Burn marks all over the carpet and generally dirty carpet anyway, closet door was broken off. Advertised as pet friendly but wasn't really suitable for dogs. Door needed to be shut with force or it didn't close properly. Little to no parking, hard to find with terrible signage. Not good for asthmatics. Hard to get any service at all, took 15mins for me to be served when I tried to hand my key in at the end of the stay. Was told there would be 2 beds and a pull out couch for 3 people to stay, only provided with 2 beds and no 3rd option for 3rd person. Wouldn't ever stay again.

Are you looking for reception opening hours? We trusted some (incorrect) info we found on Agoda and turned up at 8:20pm, reception was closed. We did manage to get hold of the owner by phone, who sent a friend who lived locally to open for us. We left at 7:30am, reception was not open then either, but we were able to leave the key in a secure mailbox. Were worried when we first turned up, but ultimately got our room. You will probably want to call ahead if you are arriving late in the day.Otherwise, all was perfectly serviceable. There was some mold on the bathroom walls but I am willing to believe it's permanent mold, not the type what would have come off with just a clean. We got what we paid for - a well-equipped room for three people for $115, we didn't expect perfection.

This would have to be the dirtiest motel in nz mold and lacking asbestos in bathroom lack ov cleaning blood stained bed . Owners very rude and arrogant lacking basic English. presentation like a grotty old state house I would avoid this place and call the health dept should not be allowed to operate in tourisim

We have stayed here a few times over the years and this time we could really see the difference! Much cleaner and much more comfortable! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Considering we did not pre book and it was busy they managed to get us in a room with no problems which we extremely appreciated after a long drive. Would stay again and recommend.

Great hospitality. Came to know that the managemnt and running of the Motel is being changed just recently. And the rooms are now neat and tidy.

Amazing Service, Spacious Rooms & Very Economic Motel.

Good beds.Horrible parking if someone has a trailer on and takes up a few parks.Heaps of mold in the bathroom on walls and roof, have photos for proof etc.Other than the parking and the mold it was ok
