Worst pie I’ve ever had, you can’t even imagine. Mince and cheese was filled with corned beef, runny watery sour cheese and it reeked. Highly don’t recommend especially for the price. Donuts looked alright tho good selection of drinks.

Unfriendly and felt very undervalued as a customer! My 19 year old son ordered a Mocha today (I was with him). The asian man made him a flat white instead and left it on the counter going cold while we were unawares on the table outside.. When my son finally collected it and realised he mixed the order up, he took it back meekly asking for the Mocha he had ordered. The guy took the cold flat white and added in a chocolate shot and gave it back to him.. I took it back and asked for the Mocha to be made properly, he was uncorporated and objected, but did it anyway and made a very below par Mocha - cold and unsweetened!!! Felt ripped off and unvalued as a customer.. Never want to go back there again!!

Cambodian owners, Lyn & Henry. Shop is spotlessly clean.Pastry quality of hot food excellent, varied range of meat fillings. 4 cold fridges fully stocked. Fried chicken, dim sims , chicken kebabs, kranskis. Fresh selection of sandwiches and cakes. Fresh hot coffee.** Sausage Rolls are not ideal, have let them know.

If you're up in Algies Bay and looking for a quick bite then give Golden Sand a go. They offer a good selection of sandwiches with generous tasty fillings, and some delicious treats. If you're craving a pie then it's hard to go past their range! My favourite is the steak and cream cheese. The pastry is done just the way I like it; a firm base with the top being somewhere between flat and flaky (but not so much it flakes everywhere).

These are the best NZ meat pies I have ever had, my personal favourite is the 'Steak cream cheese and onion' the staff really do seem to care about their customers and their food, and it really does show.
