Cycle Gisborne

We opted for a van wine tour - although the cycle option would have been fun too! The crew was extremely professional and pleasant to be around, and filled with local information. The vineyards visited were all great stops and never rushed. A great way to experience Gisborne wines!

They have many options for you choose from - from just hiring the bikes to fully supported multi-days bike tours!

Great place to hire bikes and for bike trips

We planned a weekend trip to Gisborne and had a snafu with our car rental, so realized as we landed that we had no car for the weekend. After a few calls around I spoke with Cycle Gisborne and walked to their office to check out the idea of renting a couple of e-bikes for the weekend. Within about 15 minutes we were set up with a couple of nicely kitted out e-bikes and helmets and full battery packs and we were off. We hadn't been on bikes in years, and it could've been a recipe for disaster, but Gisborne is the perfect town for a bike adventure - pleasantly flat and scenic! Lots of trails and parks around town, lots of wineries to visit, just a great experience. And the bikes were super, well maintained and easy to ride, the electric bump gives you just a little extra juice to make it fun. This company leads all kinds of tours and excursions, they were so friendly and helpful, we will definitely look them up for another adventure when we return. Highly recommend.

Unfortunately we were unable to do our biking trip as planned due to the effects of the cyclone. The owners were very helpful and informative and quick to refund our deposit. They are very ethical and I would highly recommend touring with them.
