I recently used the car rental service from Electrolease and I must say, it was a great experience. The website was easy to use and I was able to find a vehicle that met my requirements in just a few clicks. The pickup and drop-off process was seamless, and the staff was friendly and professional. The car itself was in excellent condition and drove like a dream. The prices were also very competitive, making it a great value for my money. I have rented cars from this company several times. I always use them now when I come to Auckland for a holiday. Their prices are cheap but their service is Great!Booking the car online was easy. When we got to Auckland Airport after collecting our bags it was a short walk to the pick up area. Driver brought Toyota Yaris and in 5 min made all paper work. Very friendly staff who make the whole experience very easy.

The car we rented was a Toyota Yaris. We were so amazed when we got the car - new, clean, tip-top condition. Picking up and dropping off were seamless too. I strongly recommend Electrolease to anyone who is looking to rent a car in Auckland. Definitely hope that they also expand their business to the South Island!

We rented from this company twice. They were communicative and accommodating. The cars were in great condition, as was the car seat we rented from them. They took time to explain the features of the Nissan Leaf to us as first time electric car users. Their eftpos machine was out of order after the cyclone, so we did have to do a bank transfer for payment. When I forgot a piece of clothing in the car, they let me know and offered multiple ways for me to reclaim it or have it mailed to me.

So my experience with them is amazing so easy to make check-in like me in shopping mall also car is new and clean. Also my first experience with EV amazing feels to drive so quiet! Thank you guys and see you later!

We hired the car from Electrolease for our camping trip and stayed absolutely satisfied with the car, we managed to fit five of us and all our camping gear, the car is comfortable and good on fuel.Definitely recommend!

It was a pleasure to use the car rental service from Electrolease. The rented car was in excellent condition, salon was clean and tidy. Communication also was great. We will definitely rent a car here next time. Highly recommend!

Maria and team at Electrolease are very helpful and responsive. I needed a last minute rental to travel around NZ. A lot of places were out of stock or took a while to respond. Maria was very quick to respond and as others had mentioned there was an issue with payment/deport and cash was requested. This would have been difficult for me given I was using a travel card and I would have lost out in exchange rates/fees, however Maria was willing to accommodate this. In the end, the payment system was working and I picked up the car and paid deposit via credit card. The car was clean and modern, a Japanese import and menus were in Japanese which is common in NZ. I'd recommend letting renters know the infotainment system is in Japanese and guide them to connect their phone (it took me some time using google translate on my phone camera to understand how to connect). I coordinated to return the vehicle at the same pickup spot in Albany. I did not clean the car and was charged ~$100 NZD for this. I did not expect this as part of the rental however, it was my fault for not checking the paperwork that the car should be cleaned before returning. I'd recommend letting renters know what this entails (full detail/exterior car wash etc.) again I could have asked and should have checked the paperwork. I have previously rented my car to others via Turo and even on that platform cleaning is not required, nor encouraged, so this was new to me. The car itself was great and I got ~23km per litre which is very good! The price of the rental was also very reasonable for NZ standards and given gas/petrol cost ~$2.50 litre in Feb 2023 the fuel economy was appreciated. During the cyclone that came through the company sent an email with some tips on how to stay safe, I thought this was very commendable and thoughtful. I'd recommended renting from Electrolease and supporting a local business. When I travel back to NZ they'll be my first choice given the personal service and knowing the owners truly care.

I would definitely recommend hiring from them. Maria and the team were extremely helpful. The cars was super clean and efficient for my needs. I’ll be returning to NZ at the end of July and I’ll be hiring off them again. Thank you for all your assistance.
