Depending on your own likes, there's heaps to choose from. We were putting plates on an empty table to make room. Dessert was nice though. Made an error on costs and took quite an effort to fix it but did without question.

We recently dined at the Valentine buffet in Hornby, Christchurch and was blown away by the experience thanks to Jotty and her team (Gery, Ruby and other team members). The food was fantastic, with a wide range of options that were both delicious and beautifully presented. The seafood station was a standout, with fresh and flavorful options that were perfectly cooked. The dessert spread was equally impressive, with an array of sweet treats that satisfied any sweet tooth. The atmosphere was energetic and welcoming, with soft lighting and a cozy ambiance that made the evening feel extra special. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring that our dining experience was nothing short of perfect. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a memorable celebration in Christchurch. A truly fantastic evening!

Friday , Lunch Buffet , Normal general counter and table services , Car park not many but able to park at other parking area for 180 minutes . Quality and quantity of foods are normal standard , No special manager recommendation , not very full house in week day , only 5 tables [ almost 16 guests (elder / senior old man / women)] during lunch time today . For lunch alone is okay .

Absolutely lovely! Strongly recommend this buffet. We had a lovely mean and all the food was great. The ribs and the chicken bites definitely need improvement but overall we had a great time and most certainly will be going again!

Been a long time since we have been (main nth rd when it was there) but food selection as good as ever and my steak was cooked in front of me and was awesome .Thought it was a bit pricey but throughly enjoyed it10/10 to the on the spot chef

We visited Valentine's Hornby on Friday 14 April 2023. We've enjoyed our recent dinner visits here, as the food has been really nicely cooked & is full of flavour.The head chef has significantly improved the dishes from what they were in the past. There is a good range of buffet dishes to suit or cater to everyone's tastes and/or dietary requirements.We really appreciate the time & effort that the chefs & kitchen staff put into making the wide variety of dishes on offer.The staff are friendly and kept on top of clearing plates from our table.It pays to arrive early as parking is limited directly outside the business. If you happen to miss out on a park right outside, then don't despair as you can park just around the corner. It's only a few minutes stroll away.It would be good if people could show their support for Valentine's, as it's so good to have a buffet option available in the Hornby area.

I was truly impressed with the food, the environment and the lovely staff. I haven't been to a Valentines in many years and thought it would be a good idea with children because they can choose little bits of every thing they want.Lots of food choices, unlimited fizzy drink and desert selection too.I highly recommend! (and got a free meal for my daughter because it is her birthday)

I have never been so disappointed. We booked for 17 people, 14 adults. There was no food, carvery meat so dried out and not replaced, asked for other dishes to be replaced so a small amount was put out. Still not enough for even half our group. Since we booked they knew we were coming. Great way to make money, charge excessively and don't provide the food. No response when questioned.

We were in christchurch for a wedding and did a family dinner Friday and then went back again Sunday night and the food is amazing the one in rotorua not so great but christchurch you really have it going on would definitely recommend it to anyone going down south
