Browns Bay Wool Shop needs to get its staff to be polite otherwise their will be a lot of people never coming back. Today at 10.30ish I tried to take a photo of a dog in a jacket to send to a friend who had one and was basically told to get out of the shop and not take photos. I could of taken in from the road through the window but being polite decided to go in and take it and was told in no uncertain terms no deal.... she was the rudest cow to have in any business and if you are wanting to sell the business she certainly isnt the person to be behind the counter was utterly disgusted with her and will be telling a lot of people not to go into this shop ever again......so sad really as other ladies have been amazing and mending a lot of my jerseys for me.

We made the trip to Browns Bay just to visit this shop, it was so worth it. It had a lovely feel, we received a warm greeting, and enjoyed the awesome selection of yarn. If I was closer, I am sure I would visit much more.

I was so excited to find a wool shop as they are few and far between. The shop is great the displays lovely. I havnt done any knitting for over 20 years so was getting inspiration for a blanket I want to make for a new baby. The color scheme was important to me and I was just getting an idea of what I wanted and went to take a couple of photos so I could go away and decide which colors. Wool is expensive so I wanted to think about it. I was planning to come back next week. The shopkeeper got angry with me for taking a picture and said people do this so they can steal ideas !!!!!! Huh!!!!! Shocked and dismayed. Tried to explain that I needed it to make my decision but she wouldn't budge. Terrible customer service. I will find another shop.

Great little wool shop in Browns Bay. The new owner is very friendly and has helped me with a few things, most recently finding the right buttons for a project. I would definitely recommend stopping in if you are in the area.
