Physio Connect

I started seeing Mercy at the Milford PhysioConnect branch from the onset of my injury in April and have continued seeing her now she is at the Wairau branch. When I began treatment, my ankle was about three times the size it was supposed to be and I had damaged almost every single ligament (my big toe was fine!).Mercy has helped me return to the things I love to do, like rock climbing, and also just being able to stand on both my feet (which I couldn't do because of how badly I injured my ankle, oops). I felt very assisted the entire time under her treatment and found that she was effective in letting me know what I needed whilst also listening to what I wanted in my recovery.Highly recommend!

I have been seeing Mercy from May 2021 for rupture of the Achilles tendon. I started at Milford branch now Wairua. Every week's session is fun and effective for my injury. She chooses the exercises suit me the most and push me hard to improve, I can see myself getting better week by week. Thank you Mercy for your dedicated hard work!

Maisie is a fantastic physiotherapist. She really got into the root of the problem and suggested large variety of ways/tools to improve my health. I highly recommend her services. She is professional, easy to communicate with and very patient-focussed. If (when) I get injured again, I know who to call to get me back up and running!

Very difficult to get in touch with, no-one answers or returns calls, and if you have to cancel you have to email them, when it is so much better for clients in this day and age of technology to have the choice to be able to book and cancel their own appointments. Most importantly, the physio I booked for mom at Wairau branch did not even give us the receipt I asked for, and for the same to be forwarded to my email address to make things paper less. Compared to other senior physios I have dealt with in the past, both as a professional and as a client, I am disappointed with the “senior” physio i booked for mom. She’ll just give you very minimal assessment, a little massage, and not much explanation or discussion about short and long term goals of care, and not much empathy or knowledge of what else might be happening has been exhibited. Like she is so vague. I am glad I moved to another Physio provider, not from physio connect, where our new physiotherapist knows exactly what she is doing, an utmost professional, and deserves the title Senior Physiotherapist. I feel physio connect can do so much better with the right people, and adequate staff supervision, instead of too many clinics, but the quality of care leaves much to be desired.

Maisie has been looking after both me and my wife, both of us with shoulder injuries. She has been very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Our recoveries are coming along nicely. We highly recommend anyone looking at some Physio, to give Maisie a call.

I had Mercy and Eimear for my physio and they are amazing. So great to work with and made the sessions really clear. I have gotten so much better thanks to them, they are great to work with and really go the extra mile for you.

Through this board, I would like to share my experience with - Maisie Kilner, Physiotherapist from Physio Connect (Wairau).I would like to state that Ms. Maisie carries the best service and is excellent in her profession. The staff are friendly and ensure that I am properly informed about my health and care. I would have no qualms in recommending them to family and friends.. Ms. Maisie well informed me about my problem in depth, not only explained proper exercise I need to do but also stimulated deep tissue massage sessions which really made me felt better.Not to mention - the positive vibes and smiled are complimentary. DO NOT book with Arisa Guenther! For the times I have wasted my ACC appointments on her, she is either rude, in a bad mood, or complaining about not wanting to work. I had been sent home multiple sessions without receiving proper help while she tried to made the appointment seemed longer with pointless chitchat. I don’t believe she is a qualified physiotherapist as she had made my injury much worse. Good that I had switched therapist while I still had some ACC sessions left, whom actually made my injury better.
