Very comfy beds with curtains for privacy even in 8 person bunk beds. Also a light and power, simple but very good! Pretty clean hostel. Parking available for 12$, convenient location.

Scam! Booked via their website (not third parties) where I needed to put credit card details, price for 2 nights=$72. Tony by email told me it's $40 per night (=$80) and he tried to charge it to my card... So basically they ask you to put the credit card details to end up charging whatever they want. I believe this is not only scam, this is illegal.***The Hobson Lodge Team" has indicated me that will call the police for this review - once again there is something not clear in this place

Honestly, a truly wonderful hostel. Exceptionally clean, comfortable, quiet and secure. Everyone has access to a locker and a small cupboard in the dorm rooms. You never have to wait to use a shower, stove, microwave, or computer. Everything is very chill and the place has great vibes!!

Place was clean, guests and hosts were nice, shower was warm and wifi was alright. CBD was a short walk away and they have a bus stop close by.

We had a horrible 2 night’s stay there. We reserved a private room to get some rest before our flight. The bed was not comfortable. We chose this hostel because we stayed 7 months ago. It was fine then. However, now, first of all, the guests’ profile has changed a lot. Lots of disrespectful, strange people without the knowledge of using toilets/showers properly. Besides, we had almost no sleep at each night. Because someone staying in our floor kept singing loudly in the middle of night and watching something very loudly again until 4 am last night and 2 am the night before. I give 2 stars just because of the housekeeping lady. You can reserve a parking spot all day for NZD12.

Great hostel, very friendly atmosphere. Good facilities (fully furnished kitchen, labels to write name on items, TV, board games, books, light and plugs next to every bed, curtains on the beds for more privacy, comfortable bathroom...). I enjoyed my stay there

Good place, but it could be kept cleaner.Also, carry your own lock if you intend to use the locker. The website says they have a safe locker, but no lock provided.It also depends on the guests, I totally understand, but the hygiene could be maintained better than what i experienced.

Clean and comfortable hostel in a great location close to city centre but not right in the busyness. Felt like my things were safe, bring your own lock for the metal box under the bed. Kitchen and bathroom facilities are clean. Beds are comfy and feel private because of how they are arranged. Quite place and not super busy. Good price as well. I would definitely stay here again.
