Bluewater Hotel

Stayed here with a colleague this week for one night. Location is great, staff was friendly, view from the balcony is very tranquil, room was OK despite some visibly dated equipment and bed was reasonably comfy. Unfortunately though, the cleanliness was not good at all. Both our rooms need a proper clean (including things like aircon and TV remotes). If clean, would happily give 4 stars.

Best experience I've ever had at a hotel!! Owners were friendly and went out of their way to help myself and my friend when we had car trouble!! Rooms are lovely and were immaculate, smelled wonderful as well!! 10/10 would spend my entire vacation here.

I am a travelling sales rep covering the whole country so stay in a fair few hotels throughout our beautiful country. Bluewater has never let me down in the three years I have been using them and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Comfy beds, Nice room layout and primo location =5 star rating

Slept in the lodge on bunk bed was very uncomfortable, mattresses were hard and lower than bunk side which made it quite sore to get in and out of. Drinks sweets and snacks that were available in the room were very expensive. Otherwise clean, tidy and close to all amenities.

My family and I were in a 2 bedroom apartment. It had a lovely view of the harbour and comfortable beds. At over $1200 for 3 nights, (peak time of year) We expected at the very least for the room to be clean - It wasn't. The floors were in need of a good vacuum and a blanket on the bed had some suspect looking brown stains on it. We went out one day and had left some empty glass bottles on the kitchen counter, which weren't collected, which we found strange.The place is also situated right next a Seafood processing plant, and a strong smell will often greet you upon opening a door or window.The staff at the attached Restaurant were lovely and very attentive. It had an awesome view of the bay, and although the meals were basic, they were were prepared with love. I would give the Restuarant alone 4 stars.The main reason for the 2 star rating is the cleanliness of the room, and the price. Would not stay here again due to this.

I won accommodation here for three day, it has the best view of the marina. Close the bars and resturants . Loved waking up to this sensational view .Mini golf on the premises, staff very friendly. Two story two bedroom apartment it Rocked.We will definitely stay here again.

Dirty towels under spas, dirty towels and laundry growing mould in guest laundry behind washing machines. Owner Rodney green can be heard yelling at staff and screaming at people staying. Chairs grinding on floors making noise kept me up. WiFi was horrendous didn't work at all they need an extender. Seemed like cleaners were mistreated constantly coming into rooms 3x a day, felt harrassed. Management were stressed out, flowed onto the whole experience, Rodney was to blame. Worst hotel I've ever stayed at and do not recommend to anyone staying in napier or all my family and friends.

We had a 3rd floor room over looking the harbor with great views. Room was clean. Had a small kitchen with some drinks in the fridge. There's a restaurant attached to the property and many within a very short walk. Would I stay here again? Absolutely.

Unfortunately i was right next to the bar/nightclub so fri/sat nights were quite loud.. but bed was comfortable and wifi was decent. The bathroom lacked in finishing and only a push button dispenser of a multi use soap for shampoo, conditioner and bubble bath..
