Fantail B&B

It was our first time in Tairua and although the weather was not on our side, our accommodation and hosts, Klaas and Annetta made up for it. Our accommodation was spectacular, the apartment far exceeded our expections in both scenic views, interior layout, housekeeping and provisions. Breakfast was hotel quality and Klass was both incredibly helpful if you needed anything but left you otherwise to enjoy the space around you.I would absolutely recommend his accommodation and hospitality, it was exceptional.

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying with Klaas and Annetta on Christmas day this year. In a very thoughtful gesture, they offered to make a delicious New Zealand dinner for us, since all restaurants in the area are closed on Christmas day. We accepted the offer, and we were surely glad we did. The food was excellent, and we really enjoyed getting to know Klaas and Annetta over our meal and a few glasses of local wine.Communication was great leading up to our stay, and the place was very easy to find via Google maps and Klaas' additional instructions. Upon arrival, we were greeted and given a tour of the clean, comfortable accomodations that made up the upstairs of the residence. The most outstanding feature of the room was certainly the private balcony and amazing views! We also enjoyed the short ~15 minute hike up to the summit of Mt. Paku right from the front door of the B&B.While they have only been open for a short period of time, they operated like seasoned professionals, and would surely be an excellent selection for anyone traveling through the area.We would highly recommend staying at this wonderful place with Klaas and Annetta, and hope to return in the future!

Absolutely stunning sea view.Huge rooms and bed, with spacious balcony.A very polite couple keeping the house and garden neatly.Good breakfast with sunshine and breeze.You can see some stars with bear eyes.Nice place to stay!

We stayed here recently and it was excellent.Klaas was an amazing host- he even dropped us off and picked us up one night.The standard of cleanliness was high, the bed was comfortable, and the views were amazing.The breakfast was also very good.We would highly recommend Fantail B and B

Place is stunning. Hosts are great - friendly, welcoming can help if needed but otherwise leave you to it. Feels like a luxury boutique hotel suite. Cafe at bottom of the hill is excellent beach fantastic. Highly recommend

I highly recommend staying here! Super clean, beautiful space with an amazing view. Klaas and Annetta went above and beyond to take care of me when I stayed there recently. The level of kindness they showed was exceptional. They took me into town when I didn't have transport and the breakfasts were delicious. We will definitely be staying with them again. A gorgeous spot in Tairua and a terrific B and B.

Amazing veiws and beautiful private suite. The hosts were very friendly and accomodating offering local knowledge of Tairua and surrounding area. Superb breakfast, couldn't recomend enough.

What a fantastic place to stay!It was my first visit to Tairua and I am so glad that we booked this place as it turns out to be the highlight of our Easter Long Weekend holiday!Cleanness & Room Quality:I have a background in luxury hotel services, and this place has exceeded my expectations.We booked the room with a sea view and it comes with a separate lounge on the second floor of the house, you only share the entryway with the host and the rest of the stay is all 100% private and exclusive to yourself.The shower, room, lounge, and the balcony as you walk out from the bedroom are all extremely clean.The photos you see on the website are a bit outdated as the hosts mentioned they always find ways to clean and renovate the house so everything is its best quality!Room Amenities:Linen, shower amenities including hand soap, shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner, as well as the hairdryer are all available.There is also a small tea and coffee room inside the guest area for you to use including a microwave and fridge.No cooking facility available in the guest room but it has got everything else you need for a comfy stay!There is a cute little lounge with a TV and the multiple electronic candles have caught our eyes!Location:It is located up and hidden halfway on the hill but it is a very identical house.Parking may be available in front of the garage. You are literally on the bottom of the lookout of the Mt Pack Summit, it is nice to go for a morning walk.Breakfast:Our breakfast includes a nicely presented granola with mixed berries and yogurt. Some freshly homemade brown break and eggs. We were amazed by the grilled tomatoes and got to know they were baked in the oven for over 1.5 hours before they were served!Tea and filter coffee are the best to go with such a great breakfast, with a view of the ocean.Host:Last but not least, we would like to thank the host Klass, (we did not spend much time talking to his wife as she is always out for different types of exercise). Klass, you have been a great host, not only giving us full privacy but also making our stay comfortable by checking on us every time when you had a chance, we enjoyed the morning conversations and the stories we shared with each other.We look forward to a future visit already and hope we get to spend more time in your amazing house!

Klaas and Annetta are wonderful hosts. Cleanest place we ever stayed at. Surprisingly big flat with an amazing view and really delicious breakfasts. We stayed a week and already booked our next stay as well. If we could we would have given them 20 stars.
