Target Furniture - Christchurch, Moorhouse Ave.Great service and staff but low rating since the store force their staff to stand all shift at a standing desk on a bare hard concrete floor. Despite their staff bringing this issue up with their manager (sore feet, legs, etc.) they have been told that the store is unwilling to support their health and safety concerns by supplying supportive matting or chairs or giving regular seated breaks to compensate. Thought I’d say something since casual/part-time workers don’t like to push issues with their employer due to fear of reprisal.

It's been a month since I ordered a shelf, no clue when it will be available for pick up, never been given an Eta or any information. Can I please get an update at some point?UPDATE: all sorted a couple of hours after the original post, thanks for quick response.

These people are great to deal with, nothing is too much trouble. Strongly recommend and the quality of their beds is excellent

Absolutely fantastic service. Found my table delivered 5 months ago was still damaged in the packaging. Target swapped it over no issue and had a replacement delivered within a week! Really appreciate the work from the team in Christchurch!

Their range of furniture was good...I payed for 2 new electric recliners...then after a month I had too call them as no email letting me know they are there and ready to deliver,was told they did not even have them in stock...so I cancelled my order and got my money back....very bad customer service....DO BETTER TARGET...!

I Ordered a queen bed frame 5/1/2023 and was given a date to when it would arrive. 2/2/2023. I called today 3/2/2023 to find out the status of my order only to be told they had sold out.I had not received any courtesy emails or calls in regards to this from the time I purchased it to the date I called which was extremely disappointing.When I mentioned how long ago I ordered the bedframe, what date it was to arrive and not having received anything to let me know they had sold out, they said there will be another month long delay 14/3/2023. My only issue is not being informed of the matters until I call in myself. Target furniture is usually pretty good with customer service inquires as I've shopped here before but not being notified prior about possible delays etc is extremely frustrating.

Positive: a lot of furniture displays and good showcaseNegative: Staff were busy chatting and laughing with each other. We were in the store for quite a long time looking at the displays. No one was there to ask if we needed any help while we were trying to figure out what the prices are for items in the brochure.Figured that it is easier to look it up online than getting the staff to help. Ended up buying the item online.

I ordered the W150 dining table. Originally advised it would be arriving 23/01/2023. The day rolled on and I didn’t receive any communication. I contacted target only for them to advise it’s with the 3rd party moving company. I then contacted the 3rd party moving company who advised I shouldn’t have been told that and it will arrive Saturday. On Saturday we received the order however, the table legs were missing. An apology was made for this and they advised that the legs would be sent the following Monday urgently and should arrive in a couple days/I would be sent tracking information. I didn’t receive any further communication so I followed up again and was advised it was with the moving company. The moving company advised they had not heard from target. I then chased it up again and they were in warehouse still. Finally received the legs today and I can only attach two because two legs have the bolts missing. Customer service has been appalling, the only responses I have received regarding my complaints are that they are sorry and they will use the feedback to do better next time (this is coming from their customer feedback email). Doesn’t quite cut it.
