Kāpiti Districts Aero Club | Kāpiti Aero Club - First class flight training in the heart of the Kāpiti Coast | Kāpiti Districts Aero Club (KDAC), provides first class practical and theoretical pilot training in fixed-wing and helicopter aircraft. Located just off Kāpiti Road near the sandy beaches of Paraparaumu, and just a 45 min drive north of Wellington, the Kāpiti Aero Club is the ideal base for both students and experienced pilots alike. We offer a diverse range of aircraft which allow for both basic and advanced flight training up to and including single-engine IFR training.

Kapiti Districts Aero Club
My husband got me a trial aerobatic flight for christmas. Pilot Andy was so awesome!! He took me up and pulled out all his best spins and rolls!!! Such an amazing experience. Would highly recommend. Thank you Kapiti Aero club for such an enjoyable afternoon

Such a friendly bunch of staff and members at Kāpiti aeroclub! Always feel welcomed when I pop in. Sad to see some of my favourite instructors leave for the airlines lately, but hey, that’s credit to the great standard of flying at Kāpiti aeroclub.

Kapiti Districts Aero Club
KDAC offers trial flights and also a full range of training options if you want to learn to fly. Staff are professional, friendly and competent. There a number of aircraft options as well. The club has a strong focus on safety. Based on the coast, this is more relaxed place to learn to fly than busier airports such as Wellington. Club membership offers a range of activities such as cross country trips and competitions, which are a great way to meet people and get a unique view of the country.

Had the absolute best time at Kapiti Aero Club, John, my instructor was so kind, let's you fly pretty much the whole flight and gave you a view that is once in a life time of Kapiti and the whole coast. Thanks Kapiti Aero Club for the great experience

First flying lesson and extremely well run club. My instructor Scott was excellent and I was very quickly up to speed on safety and flight theory and then took to the air... very highly recommended.

I sure do love the 87 Cessnas flying directly over my house 900 times a day, not annoying at all. Very considerate of them to start at 7:00am as well as finish at like 9:00pm, I don’t need to sleep. :)

Disgusting. A Cessna Flying over Katihiku marae Yesterday in Tehoro.. 4.30 pm approx....Dipped and Dived lnto a Congregation of mourners people bringing in a dead Body . Repeatedly until the Congregation.. Responded in Anger.. Why Would your Pilots behave Iike in such an intrusive manner.? . We were Shocked and Disgusted.. Applying for No fly zone.. At Next Lanx Meeting.. now What ever it takes.. Disgusted.. grrrrr How dare you..

I have been a member since 2016. Best aero club in the country! All instructors are genuine people and very friendly. Kapiti has great scenery so scenic flights are great.
