Request sandie for special event hair. I have very long hair that she styled quickly and perfectly for the wedding. Didnt do 5* only because they didnt offer me a coffee etc. Odd as thats pretty standatd in all salons.

I went in for a light body wave. I had not been to a hair dresser for many years because of disasters experienced. Showed a picture of the light body wave I was hoping for. I thought it would help get the idea across of what I wanted. Sandi confidently assured me she could do that. I expressly said i wanted body only and to be able to scrunch rather than blowwave after washing. I was very clear.The result - Ended up with a head of curls!! Not what I asked for, even if it dropped. I was stunned but thought I could make the best of it. Not so!!The mass of curls has now been cut short after spend around $170 and being as clear as I could about what I wanted.I just want to remind the staff to please listen to your customers requests. Dont give them what you think they need. If they want light waves and body surely you can do that!!M Burnard-Lama.od disasters I had experienced. Just a light wave. Even took In a picture. The ladies at this hair salon were superb. I was needing a last minute blow wave before an event, and they fitted me right in! They were gentle, kind, and I enjoyed a lovely flat white while I was pampered. Thank you so much team! My curls held all day and even into the evening! Very happy with the results.

I had an amazing visit at Rodney Wayne, Whangarei. I would highly recommended this salon to anyone, from the moment I was greeted I felt very welcome, and it was obviously that the staff are like a family. The salon atmosphere is professional, warm, clean and very inviting. I was most impressed with the sit down consultation that my stylist Kelley gave. She took the time to listen and was very knowledgeable which made me feel comfortable and confident. I would highly recommend the L'oreal smartbond and Kerastase fusio dose treatment, including a massage to die for. My hair looks and feels amazing.

I went in to pamper myself with my first haircut since giving birth to my son and was looking forward to getting my long thick hair cut a bit shorter and thinned out a bit. I showed this picture to Sophie a senior stylist and sadly ended up crying over my haircut, I can’t even blame the post-pregnancy hormones as I think this would have set me off anytime. I somehow got given a side fringe (which I haven’t had for 15 years), and she kept cutting it (unevenly) all the way back to my ear. I wasn’t even upset that what I got was way shorter than I asked for or that it was nothing like the style I asked for, what upset me was looking forward to get my hair cut and leaving looking like I cut my own hair during lockdown. I will say that Kelley on the other hand was great, she stepped in to talk to me after my cut and was very understanding. She did try to fix the cut Sophie did on my hair, obviously she couldn’t work miracles and glue the hair back on but I appreciated the attempt and she had a friendly and helpful approach. Kelley is the reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1.

Sandi is amazingly talented.if you have had bad experiences with hairdressers in the past, I promise she’ll change that.She will listen to what you say, ask loads of questions to ensure you’re on the same page and do what you want rather than what she wants she sees your hair as yours and not as her haircut.She’s full of knowledge and happy and willing to share it. She doesn’t pushy up sell things (but trust me she is so good at explaining things you’ll really want to buy them) but she’ll also tell you if you have a similar product at home or if you don’t need to buy something too.she’ll make you feel so comfortable and probably make you laugh.Also, if you’re Maori and get haircut anxiety because most hairdressers can’t or don’t know how to treat you or your hair, believe me when I say Sandi will sort you out and treat you with the same amount of respect as anyone else would be treated.

Really friendly lovely stylist however sadly it wasn’t the same as the style I requested. I had said during and after that there wasn’t enough volume and she wasn’t able to fix it. Also about 10min after I left it was started to fall out and was flat. I’ve taken it out now and sadly just wearing my hair down.. not impressed since I had to pay $49 for this. I had even sent in the pictures before my appointment to make sure whoever was doing it was able to recreate it. Photos below.
