Kairakau Camp Ground
After driving most of the day along the coast and pulling into each of the beaches, I finally settled on Kairakau Camp Ground. It was a great spot on the beach; it wasn't raining, and I could get cell and data reception, so it ticked all my boxes. For me and one who enjoys taking photos, this is an excellent destination. The campground, although basic, is perfect. You won't get too many spots like this overlooking the beach. It reminds me of my childhood camping trips.

Beautiful spot by the sea. Choice of freedom camping for self contained at one end and small paid campground st the other. Note no shops or wifi/phone signal.
