I have 3B dense curly hair, so its always a struggle getting it straightened the appropriate way for specific occasions. Fina was just simply amazing. She used heat protectant, was a great conversationalist, and took good care of my hair. Went from 3B curly to super straight hair for days on end! Extremely happy with the service!

First time treating myself to somewhere professional and that's what I recieved. Compared to months of reckless hair home jobs. Fina was my stylist and made the expierence welcoming from the start, informed me about all the steps taken during the process of the keratin treatment and was lovely to have a banter with at the same time. Loving the results so far and looking forward to my next appointment. Thank you guys! Recommend to all.

After a stressful 4 months I was treated to a much needed pick me up at Rodney Wayne yesterday. This was my first visit to RW and I was so lucky to have been taken care of by the talented and amazing Ryan. I provided a few photos of blond balayage examples that I wanted to try and Ryan was very informative about my hair type and how the process will work and eventually how my hair will turn out. His care and patience is truly one not to miss I felt comfortable and privileged to have been made to feel confident and beautiful again. I waited for 30 minutes before getting told that I will have to wait for another 20 minutes. This was a bad time management by them. I scheduled this appointment to be done during my work lunch break so it was quite stressful to know that the appointment may be canceled due to the delay. However, they adjusted their plan so I was able to get my hair cut. Even though, their time management was not well, the hairdresser Finn did great, so 5/5 for her.

Thank you to Ryan! So I came in with a reasonably fresh hair colour from another salon that wasn’t working for me, Ryan did a thorough consult including my goals and a hair assessment and he came up with a great care plan for me. I walked out much happier, with a more natural and blended look. Ryan was very knowledgeable and personable throughout my appointment which took time because we had to do a lower lift over a longer time to avoid more damage. Ps. Ryan my husband did love it so thank you… see you again next time. Also the woman at the counter greeted me and was lovely when asking how to get a parking extension in the mall. Thanks team!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TEAM!After mediocre service from 2 Wellington salons, I swore I would never go to another hairstylist and I would make peace with box hair dye and taking lessons from youtube videos for future attempts.I was eventually convinced to give Rodney Wayne Queensgate a go. I am so glad I did.My first appointment on Dec 2021 was with the lovely Jennifer who gave me the haircut I really wanted and needed. Such a lovely friendly manner and I got so many compliments about the haircut she gave me. .Today I was looked after by Talisha (amazing senior hair stylist) who's technical skills, extensive knowledge and genuinely friendly approach made me feel so welcome and at ease. She was assisted by Sharna who was so attentive and extremely supportive with her colleagues around her.Great team environment! Love your work!

Went in yesterday for a fusio dose treatment, was asked if I wanted a blow wave - I expressed I didn't know what that was, that I wanted my hair dried after having it washed but didn't want any styling. Was told this was a blow wave-I thought that if simply drying my hair was an extra charge, I would be told. I have had treatments at other hair dresses and they're more than happy to give it a quick dry so you don't walk out looking like a drowned rat, as apart of the service.Was charged $77 for drying my hair, which was more than the treatment I had booked.Was a good treatment, hair stylist providing the treatment was lovely, but I think the staff member who served me at the beginning, who added the blow wave to the appointment etc. May want to practice better communication around adding extra costs to their customers bills. Would have definitely opted for wet hair over doubling my bill.Good service otherwise, just communication was a little lacking!

I was a regular at queensgate mall Rodney wayne and got canceled my appointment last minute. Have very important event to attend and needed a change. Booked an appointment one month prior and got a call saying the all stylists are fully booked in the scheduled Stylist is sick. The receptionist was very rude. I prefer other rodneywaynes than this place.

My experience at this store was wonderful with such a great and experienced hair dresser called Chris. He listens to you and knows his stuff enough to know what will look good and what won't. I really trust his opinion every time I've been to him. I highly recommend going to this branch as the staff are very helpful and lovely

rang up to cancel my booking, and the lady on the phone was extremely rude and dismissive. staff attitude defiantly a red flag.
