Rise 'n Shine Licensed Cafe
I always enjoy coming here. Menu can feel a little heavy on the fried food but generally a nice place to eat. It has a fantastic playground next door and plenty of outdoor space. Coffee is served strong if that’s your preference. Friendly staff, definitely a good place to take kids.

So far the best cafe and playground around. Water. Park and big playground as well as seats outside to overlook this. Food is great have had breakfast here with friends and no qualms serving sizes for kids also were great size.

Update 20/03/2023While the initial response about the dirty glass issue was poor. As the owners have indicated they will look into the dirty glass issue, rating changed from 1/5 to 3/5.19/03/2023:The cafe is busy, but the staff need to learn the difference between water spots on a washed glass and actually dirty cups with viable grease and coloured residue.Yes, I pulled up 4 glasses on their table to check after looking at the glass I had just sipped from.I raised it with two staff members and one of them showed me a clean" stem less wine glass. Should have accepted the glass just to take another photo.It's actually a shame

Awesome place when you have little kiddies, can get quite busy on the weekends and the staff get a little run off their feet. Food choices are good, yummy and the coffee is great. Love the outdoor area for the kids, you can finish off ur coffee while watching them play or have an ice cream after they’ve played

Great place to go with small kids. There's an awesome play area outside that you have a view of. The food was really tasty with generous portions and its not badly priced either. Was excited to see you can even have a beer there although i foind out too late... Next time. My only gripe is that they close so early. 3pm during the week. So you can't go after school for a snack while the kids play

Went here today with some friends. Place is cozy and welcoming, heaps of spaces for kids to run around! Tried their keto burger, eggs bene, iced coffee and mochaccino which were all absolutely fantastic!I would like to commend their staff's friendliness too! Young people who are hard working and very accommodating to us! 5 stars!

Rise 'n Shine Licensed Cafe
Beautiful cafe tucked away in Paerata. Perfect for parents with youngish children. A brilliant little play park with even water play(so bring a towel and clothes) Enjoyable for mums/dads/ grandparents to have a coffee- tea- iced mocha and food while kids get to enjoy the play area.
