Flat White Cafe Bar
Was very disappointed when a group of us came in for lunch and drinks. They weren't sure who ordered what even though we were all given numbers. I was still waiting for my lunch for about an hour and when I asked where it was they said they had run our of my quiche which I had ordered. There were some in the cabinet when I paid for it. It was supposed to come with a green salad but in the end they asked if I would want a quinoa salad instead which I accepted. Some people got their food first when they came in last too.

Flat White Cafe Bar
I enjoyed my experience at Flat white Cafe bar. It has two nice spacious areas to sit down. Full of plants which adds to the space. Had wedges and hot chocolate, no complaints with food and service. Hospitality is impeccable, staff were kind and polite. It also has a small library and seats are comfortable, good place to sit and work also.

One star is too much. Went in for breakfast, the place had around 6 customers in. Got our drinks after around 10 minutes but no food. After around 15 minutes more I enquired about our meals to be told it’s on the way. Finished our drinks and still no food. Asked for, and got a refund, but told in future we had to specify that we would like to have our drinks and food at the same time!!!! Then we realised we had also been ripped off with the refund.Will not recommend this place to anyone.

Had egg florentine with extra salmon & flat white for breakfast. They were okay but it might be pricey for some. Other than that, I enjoyed how the ladies singing along while working. That was nice.

Very fine service here, stopped in on the way to Christchurch and had coffee and scones. Extremely friendly staff and a delicious coffee from Brad. Will definitely stop by next time.

I really wish I could rate this higher - unfortunately every time we come we are hoping for better, and every time we are let down. Service is incredibly slow and always has been. The staff are nice but they need better training and systems. It took 45 mins to pay and then receive a coffee and iced chocolate, with cabinet food that needed no preparation. It’s not a cheap coffee either, so I expect a little better… receiving a dirty cup that needed to be sent back is not at a level that matches the price. Waitress was very apologetic and nice to us, unfortunately that’s not enough to make me want to come back. Hoping they can take this note constructively and make some improvements.

Appalling service, waited so long for our breakfasts , our drinks came and we were finished before food arrived couldn’t wait any longer. We were only be told in future if we want our drinks when food arrived we needed to tell the staff to do so . Won’t be back , We do not recommend this cafe . Rude lady and the guy on Sunday..
