Nice view with banks and tables for eating. Just be careful the temperature drops fast at night.

Good place to stop .There are two benches and tables.Place to park your car.But not much to do. It's just refresh for a while during a long journey

A good place to stop along the way. A rather impressive Viaduct built in the early 1900's for the North Island Main Trunk Line. As a Rail Photographer myself, this is a popular spot for most people to get 'that shot' of a train. This is more of a Southbound shot, meaning the train heading to Wellington way. This is also a fantastic area for long exposures of the stars as there's no light pollution. The passing of the cars and trucks help light the Viaduct up at night which makes this fantastic. Also from on the Viaduct itself gives great views from above while riding the Northern Explorer passenger train. Definitely recommend
