Was Surprised at the Request of Drivers licence for a Room , No Drivers Licence NO Room.In this Day and Age Sight of such an Item may be Fine , But For it to be Taken and Photo copied When YOU HAVE NO CONTROL over Where that Photo copied Licence ACTUALLY Goes to IS TO Me in this Day and Age A worry.95 % if Motels Take Registration Numbers . Not Photo Copy Drivers Licenses.In this Day and Age Of Scams That Feels of an Intrusion of Privacy.

Great pub meal. I had the small roast beef on advice of friendly staff and it was prompt, good size and tasty. Well priced ( even cheap!)

Have called in twice recently for a meal with a friend visiting from the UK and have been very impressed with the menu and prices. The staff are very efficient with meals served in a timely manner and also friendly. The difference it makes to see a smiling face serving you certainly makes for an enjoyable experience and I'm sure we will be back, with or without our visitor.

If you want great tasting quality food with generous portions you have to dine at Pleasant Point Hotel. We went on a Monday night when the restaurant seating area is closed however the full menu is available in the main bar. It was nice relaxing with the locals having a quiet beer while we enjoyed one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time. The roast beef was generously sliced with the accompanying roast vegetables perfectly cooked and topped off nicely with a delicious gravy.The Pleasant Point burger was ginormous and really good I was told with 2 thick tasty meat patties.I had the battered blue cod. The fish was moist and melted in my mouth surrounded by a crispy light batter. Absolutely delicious.Our meal was nicely topped off with excellent friendly service which added to our enjoyment.I was pleasantly surprised at how clean the bar and toilets were (toilets smelled lovely by the way)Thank you for a great meal and enjoyable evening. We will be back

We cycled from Lake Tekapo to here and this place is everything we needed! Simple rooms, showers, a bar AND a restaurant downstairs with a grocery store next to it! Staff was accommodating for four smelly guys with bikes and needing laundry! For $60 NZD a night I can’t ask for more!

Nellys restaurant is amazing!Great menu, food and very welcoming staff.They say they are understaffed, but the food arrived really quickly and was beautifully presented. Tasty too, and very reasonable prices.We'll be back!
