Customer Service is top notch. It was my son's first time skiing and the staff were really accommodating, welcoming and supportive. The staff at the top of the Magic Carpet offered High 5's to every one at the top. The staff at the base of the Pommer were great slowing things down and offering my son advice. Janae or Janaya was my son's instructor for his lesson, he learned alot and she made the lesson fun.Tip. Get there early if you have to rent gear etc.Whilst it's not a cheap activity it certainly is fun for everyone.

The food was mediocre but the main reason I am giving this review 2 stars is because of one of the staff. We were at the outside dining area and we had outside food (we were an eating it, we just had it out) a waitress came up and said that outside food wasn’t allowed. We put our food away and we saw the waitress go up to other tables who had food out (my group and the other groups were Asian just as a detail) then we looked over to another table which had a family sitting there. They looked Caucasian (I don’t mean to be racist) and they were eating TONS of outside food. For example they had boiled eggs, sandwiches, snacks and many more. The same waitress saw their table and passed it multiple times but never told them about the outside food policy. I’m not sure is this was mainly coincidental but I’m 99% sure it wasn’t.

It is a great small ski field. Easy access road, close to Christchurch and short lift queues. Lots of fun terrain to ski. My kids enjoyed learning to ski here.

Not great, office don't reply to emails. Will tell you they will email when you see them in person. For the cost should have chairs to the top and get some more snow making gear.Season is incredibly short compared to other fields that are close with a more expensive early bird pass.Had season pass for 2022, moving on for next

Our favourite ski field so close to ChCh and when you stay at Castle Hill village you are on the slopes in 20 minutes. Friendly staff, great snow, awesome runs. One quad chair from the car park, three t bars to one of the best views ever. And a great learners area too with magic carpet and poma ski lift. Early bird season passes are well worth buying. Once you've skied 3 or 4 days (depending on your pass), the rest of your skiing is free!

Love it! If you prefer a less crowded ski field from Christchurch. This is the one. There is a chairlift at the bottom, three T-Bars to the top.

I would like to express my dissatisfaction with the recent Ski Report Opening day. Although I understand that the schedule had to be changed, I was disappointed to discover that neither the ski lift nor the actual ski area was open upon my arrival. Only the kid's area with the magic carpet and T-bar were operational. The main concern I have is that it appears to be a locally-run family business. There was only one safety staff member assigned to the T-bar, and it was evident that she lacked proper training. Numerous kids were continuously falling because she was unable to secure the T-bar correctly for them. In light of this, I kindly requested that an additional staff member be brought in to assist her. To my surprise, a gentleman approached me and informed me that they did not have any extra staff available for the T-bar lift. When I expressed my concern about the safety of the children and the potential for accidents, his response was dismissive. He essentially brushed off my concerns, stating that it was none of my business, and promptly walked away.I feel it is important to share my disappointment and concerns regarding this experience. The lack of proper staffing and the indifferent attitude towards safety are significant issues that need to be addressed by the management. I hope that they take immediate action to rectify these shortcomings to ensure a safer and more enjoyable experience for all visitors in the future.
