Tried four different fish & chip shops and Victoria's is by far the best. The Hoki is perfectly cooked everytime and the batter is done right. Chip portions are a bit small, but is good as well. Victoria is now our new go to". The only criticism at this point is it takes about 25min for them to have it ready even though they say 15min."

Preferred place in rangiora to get fish and chips as the chips are nice and crunchy but not oily. The fish is lovely as well not to oily but all best to enjoy nice and hot. The spring rolls are also nice. The chips we get are show string or normal with chicken salt which prove a hit with the kids. Staff are very kind and friendly. Best to order on the phone then go for pick up as very busy sometimes. Not many seating options inside (5 seats available) which usually fill up fast. Optional reading material inside on ledge whilst you wait. Car parks are limited to the parks on the street which generally are full especially around dinner time.

Best fish and chips in a long time. Elephant fish was meaty and delicious, not greasy. Chips were amazing, just like old school 'proper' chips.

3 stars for the fact that the scoop of chips was small for $2.90 but they were tasty, $2.90 for fish your choice of Hoki or elephant fish which is quite cool but quite Greasey. The lady that served me was lovely but they only opened 30 minutes before I got there.Still, recommend for some Greasey after being at one of the bars in the area.

I used to love going here, but tried it for a second time in years the other night. Ordered Gurnard, which I don't think it was at all. So thin and very very over cooked and dry. Second time this has happened now and not likely to go back. Chips were okay.

Wanted to try these guys for fish and chips. Wasn't too bad, didn't think much of the bacon and corn pattie, fish was okay, better than the last 2 places I've been to recently. Donuts were great in regard to sugar but a little chewy.

I enjoy this fish and chip shop but sadly husband is not a fan of their fish 'its to thin' or something ( I don't eat fish so I'm not sure myself). The burger are delicious. Service is good considering how small and busy this shop is.

Very overcooked again, this has been my go to place for 20+ years but no more. Fish was so thin tonight and so overcooked it wasnt eatable. Chips very dark brown. Binned it, didnt bother to ring and complain as nothing changes. Next week we will start the hunt for our new regular.
